In WWII we were fighting the Nazis and Fascists who the liberals had no problems with going to war against especially after Hitler invaded Russia

Before Hitler invaded their beloved Soviet Union, the liberals like Hitler, or at the very least, advocated neutrality, right along with their right-wing "America First" cohorts.

Sporting a moustache and a severe expression and lighting up a cigarette that no one dared say wasn't allowed...

Sometimes it's the smallest things that catch one's eye and makes one wonder. I happened to catch some of this (it's on a channel next to Fox and I was surfing during a commercial, ok?) and the first thing I noticed was the cigarette. Living in Ontario, it has been absolutely years since I've seen anyone light up a smoke in an office building, restaurant, bar or anywhere in a hotel (except a smoking room). So when Penn chain-smokes at a head table, it stood out like a sore thumb and raises questions. Regardless of whether you agree with it or not, that's the law .... so why did no one 'dare' to tell Penn that it was illegal? What was going through the organizers minds that they felt that Penn was sooo above the law that he could flout it like that? Were they so anxious to make sure that Penn got out his anti-Bush hate message that they were so willing to turn a blind eye? Or was Penn actually blissfully unaware - I highly doubt it. So what level of arrogance does this man carry to think that he can break the law that everyone else is abiding to just fine? Again, say what you will about 'smoking legislation' but when I'm in confined quarters with someone who assumes that I will be just fine inhaling their exhaust (and I had no reason to believe that I would be subjected to it), it speaks volumes about the attitude of the smoker - especially when the law is so well known. You could have cut the arrogance with a knife.

Amazing that in the wake (literally) of all the Louisiana corruption and incompetence of DEMOCRAT politicians that Katrina revealed, bozos presenting a movie about LA corruption can only think about attacking President Bush. I think it's great they have Carville involved, though, since there is far more in common between Huey Long, the quasi-fictional "All The King's Men" and BILL CLINTON than anything else..... maybe some enterprising Republican speechwriters can draw the Clintons, Carville, Huey Long, Sean Penn, and "All the King's Men" in some nice riffs about corruption and depravity in the Demagogic Party.

Beelzebub...He keeps using that word. I do not think it means what he thinks it means.

I agree with you Indio Montoya.
