"The spike is fueled largely by a resurgence of support among the President’s base. Eighty-five percent (85%) of Republicans now offer their approval. At its low point earlier in the year, just 66% of the GOP faithful approved of his job performance."

IN OTHER WORDS: Please President Bush, do not say the three words "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" together.

Never.

Don't do it.

Your base objects, and you will cost Republicans much every single time you do.

Thank you Sir, and please keep up the great job.

So Bush REALLY do have the Saudi's in his pocket!!
Or is it the other way around??

Anyways that remark that the Saudi Oil President about the present world oil supply is helping the worldwide prices of oil to tumble by 10% in the last 2 weeks alone.

If America can have $2 per gallon by thanksgiving then the GOP may even pickup a few seats in BOTH the House & Senate!!

Can you imagine the anger that would follow if bin laden were caught before the election (of course he's still a corpse).

It is just possible that the Saudis, UBL's orginal target, think that having "Cut and Run" Democrats take over the US Congress would not be good for them. Just a thought! ;-)

As long as Bush goes out every day and explains his positions (AND since Tony Snow has arrived to articulately address issues) this change will continue! Tony Snow is the best press secretary EVER!!! Saw him today and he is absolutely the best when dealing with the press. He's not afraid of them....in fact, I think they are a bit intimidated by HIM.

no hurricanes..........Bush is controlling the weather to buy votes! hehehehe

Remember back in March, when all the hurricane forcasters were confidently predicting that, because of Global Warming, 2006 would be the worst Hurricane Season ever?

How's that working out?

Silly Democrats think that just by wishing something, they can make it so. And then, of course, there is the matter of how sick and twisted they have to be to actually wish for hurricanes.

-

No mas, por favor!

Bush should let the House of Representatives beat him up on the issue of immigration. Up one side, and down the other. While he stands there acting like liberals think he is.

It's good for Congressional Republicans, and frankly it's good for the country.

We really don't need our President advocating for foreigners.

There are plenty of people who do that already. Someone needs to be on OUR SIDE.

We need to start putting America first.

The Best Reason to vote Republican this year is ... the Democrats.

Consider how the Democrats tried to censor uncomfortable truths:

Consider how the Democrats have gone looney left, putting forward candidates that give aid and comfort to our enemies:

Democrats have nothing to offer but despair, defeatism and dishonesty:

That assumption is all wrong.

The Saudis are very selfish in their desire to end $60+ / barrel oil. This high price is driving people to consider alternative fuels,

The Saudis still have 260 billion barrels of oil underground, and pumping costs are an average of $3/barrel.
Their fear is a price crash if the world decides to get off the oil habit.

Clarification: Your comment that Saudi's helped push oil lower is correct, although I think the big oil find and lack of hurricanes helped, along with end of war in Lebanon...

The implication that it was done for Bush or vice versa is wrong. The Saudis have repeatedly try to jawbone the price of oil lower since it went above $50 ... they are well aware of the history of the 1980s to oil and dont want a repeat of it. (Who knows, if the world suddenly went hybrid, it could be possible to see oil demand and oil price plummet.)

VOTE GOP.

But I really do with Bush would not talk about immigration.

He's so irritating when he does.

I'm sorry, but it's true.
