Mychal Massie expands on a frequent theme, exposing the most well-known leader of the black political scene, as a hypocrite. But despite making some solid points, with which many can agree, will it lead to anything more than a continuing rancor between those who promote dependence upon government entities, through certain self-appointed leaders, and those like Massie and Bill Cosby, among others, who say that it is each individual's responsibility to exercise the benefits of freedom that are rightfully theirs as America citizens, and to not depend on the intervention of others to provide the American dream. On this issue, the contrast between Massie and Jackson is sharp and clear.

Great letter. Minor correction: it was American Airlines Flight #77 that crashed into the Pentagon, not United.

Wow--that is one scathing diatribe! There is a rumor that the Reverend Jackson responded with: "Oh yeah? Well, your mama's so fat that she has to beep when she backs up."

I don't know if this will "lead to anything.." that you referred to...

BUT, I think just having the truth out there, is important and it needs to be said over, and over.

The propaganda of negativity by a LOT of people in this country is harming it...and we can't afford that right now.

Thanks for posting this great column.

Isn't it hilarious that Dems complain the President didn't ask Americans to sacrifice in the GWOT? When you ask what they mean, the answer is really "raising taxes". That's right - the economy wasn't struggling enough, we should have kept it burdened with higher taxes. This writing destroys that charge in other, very forceful ways too.

I have been saying the same things about Jackson for years, no one wanted to listen but I kept talking. Wasn't it funny when The Peoples' March On Washington. All the hot shots Jackson, Martin Luther King, Ralph Abernathy and their horde were held up in a fancy hotel. Enjoying the good life. While the people on the Washington Mall stood in 3 inches of water . Had no food to speak of or even hot coffee to drink boy what an example of servants! I'll bet the good old boys had hot baths , room service and plenty of food and coffee. The Jesus I know would have been on the Mall. Unlike His so called servants

Excellent article, well reasoned and presented argument, but might have been more effective if written on a vocabulary level more in line with Rev. Jackson's cognitive abilities.

Thanks so much for posting this great article. Too bad Massie used vocabulary words "Rev." Jackson just wouldn't understand. Way past his pay grade.
