Investigation costs $6,000 in lap dances, drinks, tips

Tampa, Florida (AP) — County records show Hillsborough County officers spent more than $6,000 for 92 lap dances, drinks and tips in an investigation into nudity and liquor law violations at an adult bikini bar.

The investigation spanned more than two years.

Sheriff David Gee says sometimes that's what it takes to get rid of problems.

Gee says vice detectives first targeted Lil Tootsie's nightclub after deputies responded to numerous calls ranging from violence to DUI arrests.

The agency recently asked county commissioners to revoke the club's special permit to serve alcohol.

Records show sheriff's detectives sought 41 misdemeanor nudity charges against 15 dancers at the club, but were unable to identify another 34 dancers.

hahah funny funny until you have to deal with some of these weasels in your everyday life.

No connection here, I'm sure, with the Hillsborough County Deputy -- the one who was caught, at least -- who pulled a girl over and then knocked on her door later that evening (uninvited), having obtained her home address in the proper exercise of the authority he had been given. (gag me).

Nor any connection, I'm sure, with the sorts of guys who frequent tittie bars and happen to be Sheriffs and arrest a lady for sunbathing in her backyard, forcing her into the squad car and down to the police station without allowing her to get dressed.

Both these (and God only knows how much more) happened in Hillsborough County.

These guys are freaking morons.

I can't believe they couldn't make this investigation last another six months.

LOL ... It's hard to remember during a lap dance that you have to look at the faces to ID them later.

That's nothing...back when Houston implemented SOB (Sexually Oriented Business) laws, HPD undercover officers spent $250,000 trying to enforce them in "one" year...

Quality, affordable lap dances should be the right of every American, not a priviledge for the wealthy few.

About right, half was probably drinks. At $20 a dance that's easy to do.

ELAINE: Anyway there's at least four of them, and they're all huge. And one is bigger than the next. It's like a Russ Meyer movie.

FRED: Who's Russ Meyer?

ELAINE: Oh, he's this guy who made these terrible movies in the 70's with these kinds of women. He's obsessed. He's obsessed with breasts. That's hard to say.

FRED: Anyway, go on.

ELAINE: Um... Well, there's not really much more to tell. He was looking for waitresses, and I went in to apply for the job. And, he looked me up and down and he rejected me.

FRED: (to a guy in the hall at the water cooler machine) Paul. Come in for a second. I want you to listen to this.

PAUL: (to Elaine) Hi.

ELAINE: Hi.

FRED: Paul, woman here claims there's a restaurant on the West side that's only hiring large-breasted women.

PAUL: (to Elaine) Really?

His lap is probably very sore. As well as other body parts unmentioned.

But you could never introduce that in evidence because it would never stand up in court....
