Please keep him in your prayers.......
Glad to hear he is doing well. Thanks for the update.
Continuing to pray.
CT's on my "permanent" prayer list now, so prayers won't end with him coming home.
Praise our Heavenly Father!
Thank you for the update.
That is wonderful news and thanks for the update! We'll keep CT in our prayers :)
...and that you'll listen to your doctors. (c;
Just found this thread and the updates. Wanted you to that I am praying for you.
Common Tator, I frequently scan for your posts when I log on to F.R. because your accounts are savvy & interesting. Plus, I don't have time to read everything. I noticed that you had stopped posting for the past several days but assumed you were on "a break".
Hope you have a full recovery!
Close to it, check your freepmail.
Thank you- I greatly appreciate the update.
Bless you, Lisa.
conservatism ~~~ Thank you for the ping list so we can get the updates. I've assembled a few of those and it is quite a task. Bless you for getting this one together!
Ray ~~~ Know that we continue to lift you up in prayer!
I'm late to the thread Lisa. But, please tell CT my heartfelt prayers are with him (and you, his doctors and his loved ones).
May Common Tator continue to improve rapidly. I always enjoyed his posts and look forward to reading many more of them. Prayers and good luck to CT and all his friends and family, including you. Thanks for posting the update.
He will be in my prayers. Godspeed, CT.
Prayers coming from the Left Coast. He, his family and you will be in our prayers!
So pleased to hear that CT is getting along so well. Being in his own home will be a huge plus for his well being.
Lisa, I'm so glad you will be caring for him. It's so important to have someone who is willing to lend a shoulder to cry on and a willing laugh when its needed. Bless you.
Prayers for a complete and speedly recovery continue, along with prayers for strength and peace of mind for you.
May you get back to your old self and feel as good as new in double time.
Thank you so much for the encouraging news! God bless you for being there for CommonTator..My prayers will continue for CommonTator's healing and a complete recovery. Take care of yourself, too, Lisa Malia.
Let Him know that if the DUKE could hold the BIG "C" at bay for a long while so can he.
Prayers sent for Ray.
I'll keep in in my prayers and you and the family as well. Hope we all hear good news soon!
Prayers for both of you.
Just read the update. Great news!
Always enjoyed his posts
I'm happy to see that CT's doing better - and I'll still keep him and his family in my prayers.
Prayers will contine for CT. I've read his posts for years. God be with him and all who worry for him.
Thanks for the update
Glad to hear you're on your way to recovering, Comment Tator, because we are sooo gonna need all your incisive commentary here on FR for the elections next month!
Wishing you godspeed, good humor & much patience working through all this. Prayers are up that you'll be back here cranking out the posts again ASAP!
I speak of your posts often to my wife when she and I go for our evening walk. She asked me yesterday "So what has Common Tator been saying about Foley?" I told her you hadn't posted in a few days, then I did a search on your name and found this thread. So sorry to hear about your accident. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the Once-Ler family.
Prayers for your full recovery, CT!
I haven't been able to eat or sleep for the last couple of days.
But that is nothing compared to what CT is going through.
I feel like I'm torn apart, my son and daughter in law need me to babysit my precious granddaughter (they are both working, as well as taking college classes), and they live 50 miles from me, tomorrow evening, yet I want to be here for CT when he gets home.
My son said he understands, and they can try to make other arrangements, but I feel like I am letting them down. My daughter normally watches Ava Malia in the evenings, but she has parent-teacher conferences the next couple of days.
Free Republic has been my lifeline these last few days, and I see they are on their pledge drive. If all of you can even send $1, it will mean alot to me, and to CT.
Excuse me if I seem to be rambling, I'm so very tired. And again, thank you for all your kind words.
Please continue to keep CT in your prayers.
Blessings and prayers for CT and for you.
I'll keep you both in my prayers. Just try to take it one day at a time, and have faith in God and the power of prayer.
P.S. - I just donated $50 to FR today.
LisaMalia,You know you are in charge of your life only FRiend.Go to Him-that is where your heart is right now and we will pray for the rest to take care of itself. We did pray on the air today for our Common Tator.
Many people are depending on your love and support.
Remember to love yourself so that you *can* help them. ;-)
The way will be made known to you. :-)
Thank you for the updates, you and CommonTator are both in my prayers.
Prayers for you and CT. Lisa, I'm sure your son and daughter in law will work things out; you can only be in one place at one time, and you are doing your best.
Please get some sleep and force yourself to eat something. You'll feel better. You will be no good to anyone if you make yourself sick
Continued prayers for CT and you and all involved.
Lisa....I am sure when your son said he could find someone, he meant it....no reason for you to feel guilty.
What if YOU were ill?? He wouldn't expect you to travel..and wouldn't want you to give it to the baby.
I am sure they know how much this means to you, to be there for CT...and this can be their "donation" to the cause.
You are under a lot of stress...and you feel like the world is on your shoulders...but, your granddaughter will be okay with someone else right now.
Prayers for you and CT....and give him our love...and please don't hesitate to post again...rambling is good when you are stressed....you need to get it out.
We care about you...and will listen anytime.
God Bless you both....sleuth
I am sure your family understands and we certainly do, too.
Thoughts and prayers to all of you.
As a mom, I always felt my kids came first. As a first time Grandma, I've felt the same. My son and his wife are very choosy about who they let care for my granddaughter. They recently located to Columbus, and only have my daughter and son in law locally, and my neice, who just went through a difficult pregnancy, and has a newborn, to babysit. I have been making the trip to watch my Granddaughter when needed.
I'm sure that they will ask my niece to watch my Granddaughter, if she's able, but that doesn't mean that I don't wish I could be two places at once.At the end of the day, I will be there for CT, or go back and forth so I can care for them both. It's not just about my time, I have other issues.
First of all...GET SOME SLEEP! You'll be able to think better as well as cope with the stress. Things may not seem as insurmountable after a good night's sleep. Take care of yourself or you're going to end up in worse shape than CT.
Both you and CT are in our prayers. Just remember to take care of the caretaker - YOU. You simply must! You would give that same advice to someone else in your situation.
you have to take it easy, LisaMalia .. don't want a prayer thread up for you!
If your son can make other arrangements for that one night, I'd let him try .. if not, keep your babysitting commitment.
Otherwise, I'd give priority for right now to Common Tator.
All best wishes
It is easier to be strong for those you love than to be strong for yourself...until it kills you. Get some rest, and God Bless.
