Unless Jordan released the IM's to them, they're likely to be forced to disclose in court how they got them.
Even if he revealed them to a friend, who then passed them on, ABC by its own actions demonstrated that it believed it had a legal obligation to protect his identity. It's just that they screwed that up for a few minutes---long enough for someone out there in cyberland to get a screencap of their mistake.

Was this Jordan person trying to set Foley up? Or was he...um...agreeing to the attention?

Either way, the point that is never made adequately in this reporting of Foley as predator, is that IMing is two-way communication. Foley is terminally stupid to engage in this kind of behavior, but any recipient of his IMs that did not want to continue the "chat" would simply not have continued to respond.

Where did you see this interview? If the person was about 26 now, when did the contact with Foley take place and when was he a page? On tv I watched it twice. Normally on a station and show I never watch but my wife caught it. He was a congressional page 1996-97 and was 16-17 years old. The contact took place in I would guess 1997 2-3 months after his term as page was up and he returned home.
