With an unusually large number of tight races and dozens of states shifting to new electronic voting systems, election officials across the country are bracing for long lines and heightened confusion at the polls on Election Day, Nov. 7, the NEW YORK TIMES will front on Thursday.
"North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Mississippi and Missouri are among the states considered most likely to experience difficulties, according to voting experts who have been tracking the new technology and other election changes.
Used one of those electronic machines in the spring.
If Dems win, there will have been no difficulties. If they lose, it will be voter disenfranchisement, fraud and intimidation, chaos and un-reliable electronic voting machines.
I fear we will get the leadership we deserve, whether they legitimately win or not.
Do I sense their confidence slipping away?

Well Democrats are involved so I expect chaos.
They may also be trying to pave the way for democrat legal challenges in close republican victories.
DOGS AND CATS LIVING TOGETHER, MASS HYSTERIA!
The NYT must now believe the Republicans are going to win. So they're setting us up for a challenge to the vote.
Can't the Diebold machines be rigged?
I've begun smelling that over the last day or so... I do hope we're right.
Doesn't matter its all Bush's fault....
Is this suppost to tell us we lost and get ready for it???
They must be expecting the Dims to come out in droves!
30,000 people with the name Mick E. Mouse.
We're ready even though they moved the polling place back where it was three decades ago.
If they win, we won't hear a peep about the machines.
I hate them. >:-(
If we had mandatory voter ID's, it wouldn't even be close. If a dem wins by one vote, the system worked. If he loses by one, the election was stolen or corrupt.
U Bet! This yada yada yada FUD is readily avoided.Vote absentee!
What does that mean?
I have an internet connection with a Diebold voter machine in Artesia, NM.
The fix is in. And I store all my music on it. </SRC>
In other words "If we lose we sue"
Throw the entire voting system into doubt!
The Commies did this with great success...until the whole lieing mess collapsed.
In the meanwhile, it allows then to put up a holy scream that they were not treated "fair"ly.
The sad thing is that the MSM will report their grudge without any deep look into the actual voting.
Hope they keep it up with these articles. Maybe it will scare many of those dems into staying home. We conservatives can handle lines and voting machines. LOL
Sounds like the polls are trending pubbie.
That is something that I will be checking up on Nov.7th. Will be counting the number of voters who enter the polls at our local precincts. Have my doubts that percentage wise this election will see more than a 1 or 2 percentage increase over any other normal election.
i.e. The New York Times doesn't think the Dems are going to win and this will be pointed too when they lose the election.
This looks like the warm-up for the post election Diebold-Rove conspiracy theories.
This is definitely the NY Times' set-up piece to claim GOP voter fraud at a later date. They must finally be seeing the true, statistically-valid polls that have Karl Rove and Ken Mehlman so enthused.
If this is their motive, it's really diabolical. The states on their list are -- coincidentally I'm sure -- the same ones where the hot, contested battles will be waged for control of the House and Senate.
Translation: Republicans retain a majority in Congress.
Only by Republicans.
Don't you have the secret password?
She said that whole media world loved the Dixie Chicks and put them forefront on magazines, interviews and airtime stories.
Unfortunately, the overlooked truth is, the DCs can't sell tickets or albums to Americans.
The caller then questioned if the same practices were being used in the polls regarding election preferences.
Consider the source, particularly in the case of the New York Times.
Same old samo samo. In the meantime I am making a fortune on my investment in Diebold voting machines. Karl Rove you magnificant bastard!LOL!
I agree fully with that analogy. The MSM is hell-bent to demonize the GOP, even more than usual, this election cycle. You can almost see them metaphorically swinging the shiny pocket watch saying, "You like DEMOCRATS. DEMOCRATS are good. You want to vote DEMOCRATIC. GOP is evil and out of the mainstream. . ." Then they support their watch-swinging with specious polls and even less valid inferences therefrom (e.g., "GOP in Freefall", "Democrats surging, clear preference for vast majority of voters").
It really is laughable -- and highly transparent if you look and think closely enough.
I tell every democrat I know that there's no sense in their voting. The machines are rigged for the republicans to win anyway so they might as well stay home. Heh. They don't know quite how to react since their own people are saying the same thing. lol
The election will be settled by middle of January if we're lucky.
A POX ON THE DEMS
Don't forget slashed tires.
The excuses begin.
This time, when they lose yet again, despite what their manufactured polls claim, they are going to go beyond legal challenges. This time they're going to do what the Marxists who lost in Mexico have done and start putting up barricades and taking over cities.
Is anyone checking on leftists stockpiling weapons?
The Dems - and that includes the New York Times - are absolutely paranoid about this election stuff. No power on Earth can convince them that elections haven't been stolen from them.
Any election the Dems lose they will challange and try to overturn. That will be the chaos the article is referring to. That is the planned anarchy that all of Soros' money is funding.
