He is saying exactly the same thing as before. Relax sanctions and he will return to 6 party talks. No, you go first Kim!

I considered that, but I remembered that they have a hard time promouncing "r's".
So, He's be "Sowwie", or " sewie" something to that effect.
We could always ask Bawbwa Wawtas, she'd know.

"UM....y'all don't know what kind of "back door" deals are going on....so all this after the fact guessing is really idiotic."

What's there to guess about? If the article is true, China did what the U.S. could not do, period. As for your "back door deal" theory, no U.S. pressure stopped NK from detonating a nuke. So again, if the article is true, China stopped them from detonating a second nuke, something the U.S. could not do.

I'm not saying the U.S. isn't economically and militarily stronger than China, we are. I'm saying that China's threat, (or pressure), was taken more seriously by NK than ours were. And that is an embarrassment.

Riiiiiiight (or is that liiiiight?) ... that's why they're prepping another. But jeez, the press jumps and says, "look! he said he's sorry! all is well, stop the sanctions."

What seems odd is this:

""If the U.S. makes a concession to some degree, we will also make a concession to some degree, whether it be bilateral talks or six-party talks," Kim was quoted as telling a Chinese envoy,"

Now, wasn't that what Bush was demanding all along (except any concession on the US part until Il dong stopped his nuclear program)? Why is il(l) Dong suddenly "Sowwie"? And what 'concession; is he after that couldn't be asked at previous talks? As I say, I smell a RAT, somebody is talking with the enemy that shouldn't be, and they only reason for doing that is political gain at election time.

Right! Bush wanted trilateral talks at the very least, He didn't want one on one talks, but rather, talks between all concerned parties.
So what could she have relinquished?

I don't see Bush giving in to the demand for direst talks.

N.Korea ‘Ready to Talk if U.S. Lifts Sanctions’

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il told a special Chinese envoy on Thursday the hermit nation will only return to six-party talks on its nuclear program if the U.S. lifts sanctions, according to a Chinese diplomatic source.

The source quoted the North Korean leader as telling State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan on Thursday morning that North Korea will negotiate on its nuclear program, be it in new bilateral talks with the U.S. or the existing six-way framework, if the U.S. makes some concessions.

Kim apologized to Beijing for going ahead with its threatened nuclear test on Oct. 9, the source said. Tang returned to Beijing from Pyongyang on Thursday night after delivering Chinese President Hu Jintao’s message to the North Korean leader.

Officially, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao told reporters that Kim and Tang discussed North Korean-Chinese relations and the current political situation on the Korean Peninsula. “This is a very significant visit, against the backdrop of major changes on the Korean Peninsula. We hope China's diplomatic efforts ... will bear fruit,” Liu said. Tang was accompanied by vice foreign ministers Dai Bingguo and Wu Dawei, the latter Beijing’s chief negotiator in the stalled nuclear talks.

The spokesman revealed no details of Hu’s message, saying only that Chinese leaders “maintain their position” on Korean Peninsulas issue when meeting with foreign leaders. North Korea experts believe Hu conveyed the international community’s concerns about the nuclear test to the North Korean leader and urged him to return to the six-way talks as soon as possible to resolve the problem peacefully. Based on Tang’s meeting with Kim, China will mediate between Washington and Pyongyang during U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s visit to China on Friday. A diplomatic source in Beijing said Kim’s willingness to meet Tang was itself a good sign.

Classic Good Cop - Bad Cop play.

This whole second nuke test incident was orchestrated between China and North Korea (likely with input from Russia and South Korea) to put pressure on the US to drop the sanctions. Every one of those four was looking for ways to get out of that UN resolution even while they were signing it with their fingers crossed behind their backs.

Well, this puts the ball back in our court.

Just now on the news, N Korea said war is inevitable because of Bush.

It seems we are getting MSM blaming Bush spin already. This is just more attack on our nation and government by traitor media in order to put fear and distrust among Americans. "Poor North Korea" who is only trying to defend itself from evil Bush, yea right...

Maybe someone else caught the news, I missed most of it.
