I'm happy to have both, but I'd rather be healthy.
I'm 54...born in 1952. I was thin until I was in my 40's, so they're wrong!
(just kidding...I get it.)
BMI below 18.5 is Underweight
BMI of 18.5 24.9 is Normal
BMI of 25.0 29.9 is Overweight
BMI 30.0 and above is Obese
Here are a couple of websites that will calculate your BMI.
I weigh 185 lbs. and am 5'11". According to the BMI, I am overweight. Now, not too long ago, I certainly was overweight, but now I run around 35 miles a week. No way I'm overweight.
Hope they don't all do aerobics at the same time. Could knock the earth out of orbit.
There's the problem. Who attends a reunion if they don't like being looked at? There are a lot of people who stay out of view.
It's interesting to people watch near Christmas time, the only time of year most everyone comes out of the woodwork. You can see the full population, lots of interesting characters that normally don't shop much.
This is going to contribute to global warming. The weight of all these fat people are going to slow down the rotation of the earth. That means there will be less wind and it's going to get hot.
Hmmmmm. If the average weight of people worldwide keeps going up, what will eventually be considered 'normal' BMI?
This reunion included a BBQ, southern style and a football game. I don't think the fatties were hiding out.
Dear Comrade,
The BMI never lies!

Your Leader
"The international standard for determining obesity is the body-mass index (BMI), defined as one's weight in kilograms divided by the square of one's height in meters. "
That tells you all you need to know right there. The root cause of global obesity is the metric system, and the fact that we no longer teach math skills.
Nice word lol.
I have not gut and my cloths that I wore 40 years ago as a teenager still fit.
Thanks PC. Based on my appearance (no gut) all of my friends and neighbors think I could stil gain another 5-10 lbs.!
Well, don't antagonize them. They start jumping up and down in unison and the dang Earth will fall out of orbit.
Simple solution:
Kill the obese and feed them to the hungry.
Two problems, one stone.
Perhaps it's two problems, twenty stone?
I wouldn't call 23.9 BMI the edge of overweight. That's pretty much what I shot for, and I had to drop 100 pounds to get there. My BMI now is in that range, and I'm pretty thin.
The solution is to end all socialize healthcare. Return the cost of medical care back to the individual. It should not be society's problem to provide "free" medical care for it's citizens.
If the governement was not involved, then the problem would correct itself.
You can trace the rise in the cost of healthcare to the point when the individual quit paying for their own care, and third parties began picking up the cost.
