As the Republican base fragments and Christian conservatives consider a fast from politics, the polling data point to a mid-term Republican thumping. Less than two weeks from now, Republicans will begin their post-mortem soul searching. And as the corpses of their House and Senate majorities grow cold, so should Karl Roves 2006 campaign strategy.

I'm certain that she will miss the income. And the study of polywater was within the science of chemistry.
Is every site not yours anti-Freeper?
I think you Creator deniers are forgetting where you are. This is NOT Darwin Central. Keep your insults to yourself.
No, just those that engage in antiFReeping activities.
Anyone who is not an evofundie who has spent even a minimal amount of time on the evo/crevo threads will know that the evofundies delight in the worst excesses of loathesome speech, specializing in the lowest insults towards any religious believers.
I've seen stuff I would never have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. That's why I pretty much stay off those threads.
Since the early 90s, I have regarded the Democrats as a quasi-criminal enterprise, akin to the Mafia. Just look at the conduct of most of their members. To be fair, the Democrats weren't always so. Zell Miller, Patrick Moynihan, and some others were the last of a breed that gave respectibility to the Democrat party.
The scary part is with respect to the attempt of the Rockefeller Republicans to turn the Republican party into a caricature of what it was once regarded--a bunch of chubby dudes in suits smoking cigars in a backroom looking to stick it to the average person.
I would not be surprised, as some others have noted, if a populist party does raise in the US--nature abhors a vacuum.
Side note: re: my post 168 with respect to the conduct of certain individuals and the intervening posts. Your honor, the evidence is overwhelming. I rest my case.
You're being generous.
I have never read them but I did read the links Jim put on this thread. That is what I am talking about Friend and if they are serious about what they say they are trying to do they should stay on topic and delete that which is not.
Nah.
You're not that important.
Your right but I can read.
Buncha people just got tossed over the side of the FR boat. Now they're venting a bit. Are you surprised? I'm not.
I'm not but why were they?I am reading back 3 and 4 months.
What makes you think they were surprised? Disappointed, maybe, but surprised? Seems unlikely.
He's wrong. You are THAT IMPORTANT!!
Unlike some other instances in the past, I think its more like what would have happened if the passengers of the Achille Lauro deciding that they've had enough of the hijackers and their demands, and threw them over the side instead of being polite and watching Leon Klinghoffer getting thrown over.
Dissembling behavior is unbecoming, BTW.
Did I say surprised.I have nothing in this fight except what I read. You can start a website to share ideas but to talk about another website?
LOL.
"Science is political. It doesn't have a choice."
--- Stanley Aronowitz, Marxist academic.
"All science is political."
--- Anne Norton, leftist pomo academic. University of Pennsylvania.
"Science is political. No scientist, however pure his or her research may appear to be, can escape the political setting in which science operates - or its political power in setting public agendas."
--- Nicholas Hildyard, left-wing environmentalist.
"All knowledge, including science, is political."
--- Sandra Harding, leftist feminist.
And here's one more to add...
"There's nothing more political than science. Any science, at any level."
-- Jim Robinson, ????
Who is the Marxist tool again?
No doubt, but then again, I don't care what you think.
LOL. I stand by my words.
It was the thread about cats that put us over the top, wasn't it? I told them people to leave it alone, already, but you know how folks can be sometimes...
Gee. That's disconcerting. I do believe I'll shed a tear.
Doubtful, but whatever.
Then control if you are in charge if you expect respect.
Because if they didn't they just might end up concluding that there was some kind of Intelligence or design to the universe. They HAVE to stop at manmade things.
Insults like "evofundie?"
I have been fighting against the Marxist "everything is political" (art, science, cooking, etc.) for more than ten lustrums. It's sad (but not surprising) to see that such an idea has taken hold with Conservatives.
The truth points to itself. I personally could care less about the crevo foodfights. What I can't abide is misrepresentation (okay, for some reading this, out and out lying--except for some, who appear to be legends in their own minds), which is what is what is occurring, and has occurred for some time.
My stomach dropped when I read that post.
It was science, skepticism, logic and reason that brought me to the right in the first place.
Now I'm being told that I made a mistake. :(
The people who run this site don't appear to have had much luck telling those folks what to say; what makes you think I'd do any better?
In any case, I answer to them, and no one else, and therefore someone else's respect just don't enter into the equation. Sorry.
You didn't change, they did. I blame the Nixon Southern Strategy.
No Dissembling for you. Let's look at what you just said. You just drew an equivalence between the terrorists on the Achille Lauro and some people who have been banned from FR, implying they would have engaged in murder if they hadn't been. BTW, many of these people that have been banned are hard working scientists... one of whom is currently engaged in research to thwart terrorists. Ironic, isn't it? Do you have any idea how what you wrote comes across? And do you even give a d*mn?
That's not an insult, it's a neutral descriptive term of those who adhere religiously to the TOE.
Oh the irony of writing "scientists are Marxists" on a modern computer and sending it into cyberspace.
fatima prays for my son, my nephew, and a close friends daughter over the airwaves, so as far as I'm concerned she is very important. Your opinion means little to me on this issue.
LOL. Are you seriously claiming the left does NOT use "science" as a political tool?
That's a load of crap.
So you don't mind being called a Bible-fundy?
Uh, I think you're projecting.
Conversely, of course, why should I care what any of you think?
I'm a Hindu who reads the Bible. Try to fit me into a box, I dare you!
;-)
The Left has constantly used science, art, etc., as political tools to the detriment of science, art, etc. It's sad to see the Right attempt to do the same. Or maybe it's the Triangulation Strategy?
The ones I have seen are. And if YOU can't figure that out, then you need a good remedial reading course. One in logic would also help. ;^)
You're just flat wrong on this issue. Evolutionary theory is foundational to our understanding of biology. It is part of science's toolkit for understanding the physical world. It is no more hostile to Christianity or Judaism than a hammer or inclined plane. I mean, come on. The ACLU uses math. Does that mean algebra is part of the homosexual agenda?
The word "evofundy" is neutral???
Would you swear to that in a court of law?
You are going to sit there and blatantly lie like that?
Damn. I should stop being shocked by you people's lies.
Care to name names? As to your antiterrorism points, I work on the B-1B. We drop bombs on terrorists.
A lot of the *venting* is coming from people with the same screen names as active FR accounts. It's not just a matter of banned FReepers blowing off steam. It's backstabbing by current freepers.
