...has any disease been cured with Stem Cell research? I don't believe so. Diseases can be cured with natural and herbalistic means but thier is no money in it for the Big Pharmecutical Industries... As someone who has studied and trained in herbalism for sixteen years I sympathize with that thought. "Cure" is an awful big word though that doesn't apply to the vast majority of herbal therapies.
But getting back to SC research ... here is an excellent post with links which outlines many of the 72 viable therapies developed with Adult Stem Cells. It is, however, true that Embryonic Stem Cell research has been a complete bust in spite of some six billion dollars spent.
