How's it looking so far for Irey? I know it's early.
She's up 91-9%.
I have been Praying for her for months!
Diana is a new breed of Republican..ONE WITH COJONES. What a tough chick she turned out to be.
Old Murthawi probably doesn't need that retirement source, his retirment plan is most likely in off shore bank accounts. But he's going to have to tap into them soon. :-)
Murtha's had 30 years at the taxpayer-funded All You Can Grab buffet. It's past time voters smacked his hands away from their money.
Any exit polling data yet?
I hear it's a little damp up your way and they had to close some polls.
It's damp here but nothing too serious.
It's worst in the rural areas, particularly Pierce County and other rural areas along the river plains.
What's bad, ecologically, about this precip is that it isn't quite cold enough to accumulate snowpack yet, so it just gushes downhill.
Now if you were down here Phoenix (90%)you would only need a t-shirt!!...............
Heya. Sorry I couldn't stay up late last night - I was exhausted, and still didn't sleep well.
Headed to the polls in about an hour, if the school can manage to stay stuck to the hillside.
Good one, Gitmo. Jack's going back to private life.
DOW now 20 points above the record close!!!!!!!!!!!......How did you do that Mr.Rove?............
Beat Murtha BUMP---any news?
Not at this end!......
There's been some trouble in the state with the new voting machines along with other problems. Worst is in the Philly area...of course. Problem for the Dems is, this time they're being watched.
The good new is: It's kinda chilly in the district, with scattered showers, and rain is forecast for this evening.
The average republican will say: ""I gotta go out and vote."
The average liberal Dem will ask himself if it is really worth getting that uncomfortable. The fewer liberal Dems that show up, the better.
Voter turn-out is projected at 60% or higher. We'll bet a chance to see if the numbers Gary and I came up with were in the neighborhood...
Any sense about turn-out? In my heavily Dem neck of the woods, I 'm fortunate to have a Repub Congresswoman (due to a trans-county gerrymander). I figured the moonbats would be out in force, but turn out has been very light. Of course my polling place is barely a speck in the big picture. Still, I was pleasantly surprised. The Dems up here don't seem particularly aroused.
Wow!!!.... The first one reported in!....Thanks lurker!..
Is that 60 percent way above average, Bones?
Good news, so far-BUMP
So how is this race going. I don't recall even seeing polling data on it?
Average for mid-terms around the nation is around 40% or less. Some districts always do above 50%, though.
This year, voter turn-out is going to be huge. It really wouldn't surprise me if voter turnout around the nation is equal to most Presidential elections.
This is why I worked the numbers for Irey based on a 60% turn-out model.
If voter turnout in the 12th district happens to be higher than 70%, things get a bit iffy for her, but 70% turn-out in that district has never been heard of...
I'm not in the area, I'm in California.....
Sorry, you're all the way across the country...
Irey publicly says that she's at 50%. The last poll anyone knows of was done a month ago and had her down 10%.
Of course, if you believe the polls this year, yer going to in for quite a surprise on Wednesday morning...
So far, no word that polling stations in the 12th are swamped. Let's hope the Dems are proven to be, once again, slackers when it counts.
In that district, I'd expect most of the polls to be busier in the evening.
All we can do now is to wait...and tough it out...and see if anymore FReepers from the area can clue us in.
Thanks for the report and your good feelings. Us that are stuck far away appreciate getting those updates.
Do not move to Phoenix;...Period!!!....I just found out that they don't want people to vote in AZ !!!!!.....Its a total nightmare to vote in this state!!!!!.....I had my Voter Identification card and Drivers lic./pic.!!...No way!!!...I had to go back home and bring a water bill or a electric bill!!.......I was p:ssed bad news!!!!....I had two of my three daughters with me!!......Dad! Let's go and get the water stub!.. O.K. Say's I.....After voteing there was a Donkey Moderator outside!... Sir! You had a problem voteing? Sure Say's I.....They made me go back home and get more imformation; So I could Vote Twice.....Daughter #2 said Dad take the I voted tag off before we get to the next polls!!....Now it is a real Sport to vote!!!!...Barf Az is the Dumbest in the Nation!!!.... Otherwise how was your funday..............
Sounds suspicious. No trouble voting up here - heavy, steady turnout. And, for a change, poll workers were asking for IDs.
Could be trouble in our Red, rural areas because of flooding/road washouts. Keep praying!
Lord have mercy. It's outrageous in CA too. My dear friend Doodlelady had to ASK for an "I HAVE VOTED" sticker in English. They were passing out the stickers in Spanish!!!!
I sent in my ballot absentee.
Voted this morning in Woodbine TX. Has to show a DL
since I lost my reg card.
Steady movement through the polls. Looks like most
people are just checking off a straight party ticket.
Those looking to vote for Kinky or Grandma have to
wade through the entire ballot and it didn't look
that most people were doing that.
Well, Perry does have nice hair...
From what I've seen around the nation, voter turn-out thus far is heavy. A look at the numbers says that - except for solid blue areas - this should favor the Republicans across the board. Several states and districts are reporting turn-out above 2002 levels and near or above 2004 levels.
Rain storms of any sort near your location should favor the Republicans in terms of voter turn-out by 1-2%.
Washington state is a wash. Literally. A number of those people are in life and death situations at the moment. Voter turn-out models for them just went in the trash can...
Murtha is scheduled to appear on CNN's "Situation Room" at 8:00 tonight! I just saw the announcement on Hideous Jack's website here.
Will he concede the race on live TV?
Should have included you on the ping for the above.
Thanks for the heads up, Red. Don't whether it's good or bad.
Hey,Hillary how are you doing?
