What is the chain of command involved in not excommunicating Bishop Lynch? Given that the Pope himself spoke out against Terri's murder, it would be hard to say the Church saw her death as anything less even if some apostate diocese thought otherwise. I see no way the marriage of Michael and Jodi could be possibly considered proper by any observant Catholic.

Oxymoronically, As Judge Greer betrayed his role, as some doctors betrayed their oaths, Bp. Lynch betrayed the core of Church teachings.

Mercifully, the Bp. was overshadowed at Pinellas Park by a giant in the Faith, by one who truly followed teachings, Monsignor Malanowski.

Myself, I would not place any more value in the pronouncements of that bishop than I would in the witches of Eastwick.

Would Mikey do an O.J.?

In recent days we got hit by the media and attendant frustrations over a murderer who got away with his crime. Perhaps, O.J. shows some remorse, perhaps he gloats over getting away with his one deed of blatant murder, but just maybe, it weighs on whatever conscience he may have. Does anything at all weigh on Mikey outside of his own being?

Naturally for many of us, we draw analogy to Mikey and wonder how he sees things these days. Carrie Hutchens in the Dakota Voice expounds on Mikey.

I have been waiting for Michael Schiavo to make the correction on his PAC/Blog site, but as of this writing, he still hasn't. So what is up with that? Not his style to admit he made a mistake? Oh well... heaven forbid anyone might expect him to admit he was wrong and apologize for allegedly spreading untruths.

Michael hopes his little site will influence voters? And on this little site -- during an election period -- he appears to have made false statements about Marilyn Musgrave, a candidate in Colorado? "But just minutes after taking my seat, I noticed a flurry of activity around my seat including about four uniformed police officers who were - I would learn later - called in by Musgrave staffers and asked to remove me from the building."

He further states, "After the police talked with obviously irritated Musgrave staffers and the debate organizer, the Musgrave campaign complained that my seat, next to the timekeeper, was inappropriate because - get this - Marilyn Musgrave would have to look at me. In an effort to appease the Musgrave camp, the debate organizers moved the timekeeper to the other side of the stage - about 15 seats away."

Schiavo Saga

Last year, as the Terri Schiavo saga unfolded, I couldn’t help but reflect on how President Reagan might have reacted to Ms. Schiavo’s ordeal and to her parents’ repeated legal attempts to provide her with food and water. I have no doubt Reagan would have worked to combat the spread of euthanasia and doctor-assisted homicide by strongly backing legislation penalizing doctors and nurses who withdraw or withhold feeding and hydration from otherwise healthy patients.

Reagan did not promote the pro-life cause to pander to the conservative base of the Republican Party. He saw the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence as our Founders’ admonition that life is a right all people share because it is given by God, and that government’s role is to secure and affirm that right, not exploit it...........

And the family wants to exercise a "right to kill" all in the name of dignity. Dehydration is very dignified, they must think.

A woman in a vegetative state is to be given a "miracle" sleeping pill said to have caused others in her condition to "wake up" after England's senior family court judge overruled the objections of her family in the first case of its kind.

The family of the 53-year-old woman, who has been diagnosed as in a persistent vegetative state (PVS) after a massive brain haemorrhage suffered on holiday in August 2003, want her to be allowed to die with dignity. They say she would not want to live with severe disabilities while being aware of her condition, a likely outcome if the drug, zolpidem, works.

Michael Bollinger's Fight...

Few news agencies are picking up on this travesty unfolding. So far, it is just the local TV. I notice they have declared Michael brain dead and they note he has a strong heart. We don't suppose, do we??? Parts? I wonder if he has some valuable and healthy parts available.

The parents are told it is a civil matter.

(CBS 3) CAMDEN Karen and Joe Kennedy want more time before taking their 16-year-old son Matthew Bollinger off life support at Cooper Hospital. Doctors declared him brain dead after the Oakcrest High school student failed two tests which determine his brain activity.

"I believe there's something still there. I've seen him move, you know, I've seen it, whether they say it's reflexes or not," said Karen Kennedy.

Joe Kennedy added, "We're talking 48 hours and they want to end his life. It's not right."

Meanwhile, the Kennedy's are getting support from other families who've gone through similar situations, and have also spoken with Camden County authorities who told them their case is a civil matter. They would, however, like to see a change in New Jersey state law regarding cases like theirs.

"The state's got the right to turn my baby down. I don't see where that's right. That's my baby,” said Karen
