Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
"Can't President Bush override them all somehow??"
Doesn't work that way.
This is the future of civilization at stake. If they cut off funding, the President ought to simply ignore them. Perhaps send them home for a "rest."
Geez---you guys/gals realize that it's not Brit's fault if the House tilts to the DEMS don't you?
any body know if Murtha's fat ass is still with us?
Given up on Mo?
The state sales tax deduction wasnt passed....and will not be renewed now.
U.S. Senate - Pennsylvania
U.S. Senate 15.2% of 9,372 precincts reporting
Candidate Party Vote Count % Votes Cast
Bob Casey Dem 305,842 63.5%
Rick Santorum (I) GOP 176,137 36.5%
That's how it looks right now...
no offense, but i pray that you are very wrong
I thought Lieberman won.
I noticed that. How irritating...
I'm not even from VA and the immigration is obviously causing a change. Like it is going to all across this country as planned.
run Jim run...we need a hero tonight and man it's you.
The only thing the Dems could secure in Iraq is the genocide of sunnis.
That would be an immoral consequence of their victory tonight but it would not mitigate our soldiers noble sacrfice of liberating 80 percent of the country.
I feared what you said in 2004-- but we have been too successful thus far for the country to return to Baathist control.
Does that mean you'd vote for the (D) over the Rino?
Well said, dear friend, and heaven help those who don't know their history and how the Rats have done this to us before.
"What's going on with this?????? On CNN site they have Ehrlich and Steele significantly ahead but have already called the races for O'Malley and Cardin."
Dems always hold back their metro returns-some out of necessity because there are so many votes to be tabulated and often that is not at precinct level but at a central headquarters. Of course that allows shenanigans galore.
Their site's always sucked.
The broadcast is pretty bad tonight. At least they have Barone, but what can Barone do with bad information?
Peach, the real conservatives are the ones who told you this day was coming. The pretend conservatives were the ones who scoffed.
Our values outstrip the democrats by a huge margin, when implemented. Now what?
Allen - Allen - Allen - Allen - Allen - Allen - Allen
It looks like they're going to get their wish, doesn't it?
Wonder how they're gonna like that new immigration policy the Democrats are proposing?
I hardly ever pay any attention to the MSM, but if we lose either or both houses tonight, it won't be the media's fault, at least not primarily. I would blame two groups: (1) indifferent Republicans who didn't think it worth voting, or who voted for a Democrat, and (2) elected Republicans who were often divided against the President, and who gave little reason for their voters to get out to vote for them.
I know that much of the Republican's achievements were ignorned by the media, but the Rebublicans at least have some responsibility for getting their message out. The did precious little of that, and allowed the Democrats to run over them.
Then they become a campaign issue all over again. Remember how history has worked over the last 10-15 years . . . nothing will motivate suburban voters to support the GOP more than a major hit in their wallet from Uncle Sam.
Exactly, I get so tired of hearing that a Democrat is actually pretty conservative. If he will caucus with the Democrats and vote for Pelosi for speaker then the guy might as well Ted Kennedy.
Guess what kids. We might have a recount in VA for control of the Senate. Yeehaw.
This is what is bothering me about this reporting.
It is pundits acting as if they knew it all along. It may change, it may not.
CNN is a complete joke
PMSDNC is plain irrelevant tonight.
What about the asentee votes?
Come on Virginia!
Strickland, Ted / Fisher, Lee Democratic 329,605 57.08%
Blackwell, J. Kenneth / Raga, Thomas A. Republican 230,148 39.86%
Peirce, William S. / Noble, Mark M. 11,455 1.98%
Fitrakis, Robert / Rios, Anita 6,062 1.05%
Lundeen, James / Becker, Kevin J-WI 143 0.02%

DeWine, Mike Republican 273,293 47.28%
Duncan, Richard -WI 69 0.01%
Breakdown By County Total Votes 578,033
Saw that. Ridiculous!! Fox's coverage has been abysmal. So has this election, for that matter!
House Race Scorecard - 9:50pm
Collins and Burns (R) are up a bit in the 2 Georgia Dem seats about half way through.
But then we knew that all along as we watched the "real conservatives" use it to beat, divide and demoralize the right, didn't we?
"Allen adds a bit more
G F Allen Republican 973,322 49.48%
J H Webb Jr Democratic 969,980 49.31%"
OMgoodness...I'm JHWebb...no relation!
You can hope for 1994 in 2008, but I don't see the MSM allowing the dems to get into trouble. Everthing will be against Bush in the next two years.
Burns is toast.
Maryland MAY NOT be over until the absentees are counted on Thursday.
Ehrlich has been making a lot of noise and sending flyers out to registered R's urging them to vote absentee because he doesn't trust the machines.
Concur! Hang in folks.... don't worry, all will be well in the end... you'll see. Sometimes things don't look good on the front side, but later, it's all for the good. Give it time....
Not a good turnout, for sure. Isn't it something like 12% of eligible voters even bother to vote? This country doesn't even deserve the freedom it is rapidly losing. Everyone is tuned in to "Dancing with the stars"!
Well, I hope you enjoy the Democrats new immigration policy.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
It warms my heart that Kos once again extends his record of backing utter losers like Lamont.
First and goal Gators, you da man. Thank you.
I was getting a fever over VA.
I'm counting on Talent and would like to Montana of course.
I need one to come in so I can have a drink.
well, who stayed home? look at some of these "heartland" congressional seats the Rs are losing in places like IN and KY. whose not voting in those districts? the RINOs?
Did they say that on the news? I'm not bothering to watch TV.
I'm not liking VA. Too much Fairfax, Arlington and Richmond City, with only VA Bch to counter.
Yes, we sure did.

The real conservatives? The last I looked, the most real conservative you had lost. Big time. Santorum.
And if you think real conservatives thought the Terri Schiavo stunt was smart, you're in dreamland. There isn't a person in extremely conservative South Carolina where I live who thought that the goverment taking away self determination was a good thing.
Santorum isn't just getting beaten, he's getting crushed! What happened???
Crist (R) wins against Davis (D) Florida per Fox
If you are a conservative, you know that taking out Saddam was the right thing. Tough and unpopular, but the right thing.
Don't try to blame GWB for the shortsightedness of the nation.
Based on what?
