Weasley Clark-barf alert

I would say offer it to Lieberman if he had lost, but cannot do that. What about Santorium?

JUST F'N DAMN. Why now? We lost the F'n election, this makes no sense! Had he resigned last week, well that would be different. I would not have been in favor of that, however.

I'd bet my house Rumsfeld offered to help the President deal with congress.

That's a reasonable assessment too.

Should have happened a year ago.

It should never have happened. He's one of the absolute finest SecDef's this nation has ever had.

Sec. Rumsfeld, thank you for putting up with this crap for almost six years, when you could have comfortably been doing anything else. My family and I are safer due to your unselfish service.

The thing is, his resignation won't affect any other election (at least directly), as Bush will be gone after the next one.

He is doing what is honorable, in a Japanese sort of way.

Well, how about an Independent!

Joe Lieberman for Sec. of Defense!

Rell appoints his replacement...we keep the Senate, and Lieberman can work on the one issue he's actually good on!
