It's kind of hard to wimp out by conceding a race you lost.

It is very unlikely the few remaining votes will go to him.

Therefore, it is time to concede. If for some odd reason he wins, then he can take it back. Concession is just words. If you win after you concede, you still win.

Refusing to concede a race you obviously lost is pathetic.

I would like to see the breakdown of the military ballots in both the MT and VA Senate Race.

I dont think that is a good strategy.
It is what the dems did. They wanted failure for them
to win. Only there was no failure on the economy and
the war as fough PC. WE should have gone in cleaned house and left.

Repubs are finished. They now have a creditable media(24/7 We were right, bush lied) and two years of hearings.

Kiss good-bye to any conservative jurists being appointed to the federal bench.
GWB had his day in the sun.

"And we can watch the Dems screw up for 2 years and see it backlash on them in 2008."

Right, because the dems and the media won't blame Bush for everything bad that happens. They will pull back on the war on terror and if we get hit.........it is because of Bush's failed policy. If the economy tanks........it was heading that way because of bush. Unemployment goes up.......because of Bush's economy.

And the sheeple will buy it. Heard a guy call Lars Larson yesterday telling he voted for Ted Kolingousky (sp). Worst Governor in history. Lars asked him many times to name ONE thing Ted had done as Gov. Guy could not name one, not a single positive thing. Finally he said it was because he liked his commercials. This idiot canceled my vote for Saxton, a true good guy, and he has no clue.

I pray you are right, but I doubt it. Things will have to get bad real quick with obvious causation linked to dems. I don't think they are that dumb.

If they are smart they will let things run as is for now so they can get the White House in 08. Then they will drop the charade and the rest of the country can see what it feels like to live in the People Republic of Portland.

Sure, I understand. I was floored when Fox called the races for O'Malley and Cardin in my state of MD just after 9PM, with less than 10% of the precincts in.

It turned out, however, they projected it correctly, based on data they were seeing and we weren't. It's likely the same has been done with the absentee ballots in MT.

Buck up. We survived Carter....we'll get through this, as well.

Yes, they were... Nothing like Dems in power to get the anti-government sentiment up.

BTW, Fitzcarraldo is a great film.

I just don't want to end up with Joe Lieberman sitting on the Supereme Court, that would be tragic.

[[Real sucky day and week so far. But we have to keep our chins up and go on. Looking forward to 2008 now. Now we can sit back and watch the Dems screw up!]]

While I share your forward looking and positive approach, reading the dour posts of 'some' in here, they are ready to fold up their tents and retreat.

The dems can no longer simply say no and obstruct, and I think they will overplay their hand and try to push a far left agenda. If they do, there will be a backlash in 2008.

there were still 21K military votes

Years from now, the grandchildren of current Freepers will still be reciting this myth.

Sorry. I've ending my depression period and am moving into my anger period. I couldn't pick out the GOP clown that ran for governor here in Arizona if he was standing in a crowd of one. I'm not one of those Americans who surrender without a fight. Losing has become an America tradition again like it was in the 60s.

The absentee ballots in at least Yellowstone County, Montana were counted FIRST, not last. While there may be a handful of late military absentee ballots trickling in, most absentee ballots are likely counted. All that should be left are provisional ballots and those few military absentees.

This race is over.

Ha! Don't worry about Lieberman. First, he'd never get nominated by Bush. Second, the Dems wouldn't let him accept it, since a GOP govenor in CT would appoint a Republican senator in the interim.
