Republicans and conservatives who voted at least have a clear conscience, we did our duty.
The Dems turned out their people, they wanted to win, you can't blame them for that.
But Republicans and conservatives who didn't bother voting are directly responsible for the current Dem Congress.
Those protest voting or who didn't vote had sh!t for brains.
And you should see how proud they are of it, as you read some of the threads.
That is because they are so dumb they wouldn't know they were wrong if they walked out a third story window.

I wouldn't mind that. The problem is that they are dragging us with them, and we have to suffer for their lack of any sense. And we are aware of why it's happening, but they don't understand that they caused it and could easily have prevented it, if they had acted as responsible adults.
And what's worse, they never learn, despite several brutal lessons -- as in the Perot voters gave us Bill Clinton and launched Hillary's presidential bid, they almost gave us Gore by voting for Buchanan and they just gave us a Dem Congress, which may kill us all.
It is rather amazing, isn't it? Well, dumbfounding is maybe a better word.
I haven't seen any of those threads.

As I said before, conservatives staying home is like a person who caught the flu from a friend, is so mad at his friend that he goes out in the cold to catch life threatening pneumonia -- that'll show the friend.
Yep, there are a lot of people here on FR who are just beaming with pride that they did their part in giving Congress over to the Democrats.
I have seen a post, I should have bookmarked it, where someone was expounding that "true blue conservatives" were so upset with Republicans that they voted for the Dems and are happy that the Dems won.
Now what kind of conservatives are these?!
That was just one of the most outrageous ones, but I have seen plenty of others who seem upset that I am proposing that the Republicans need to figure out a win strategy for 2008 now. They keep saying that winning is not what's important.
They lost us the chance for a conservative majority SCOTUS.
This depressing stat also explains why Bush-Rove (and I) thought the GOP would defy the pre-election polling and win or at least hold with high turnout. They were quite sure of this, as was I. For all the GOP faults, I thought people on the right would vote as strong as ever to keep the Dems out of power. A lesson for us all as to why that didn't happen...

it seems to be your favorite pasttime here ,, did ya ever consider figuring out ways to motivate people instead of lambasting and haranguing them into voting, very few at FR didn't vote, take your message where it would do more good.. haven't we had enough days of whining here already?
