I assume you meant "influence," but I always like to check to make sure something like this isn't a word I'm just not familiar with (it does happen, every now and again). I plugged in "invludence" in Google and got 7 hits. In each case it's an obvious typo where influence is meant, but that also means that it's a common touch typing error. Thank you QWERTY keyboard.

Seriously, I admire the people on this thread who fight the good fight and catalog the sins of the lying, biased left wing stooges that call themselves media. I found some time ago I could no longer stand it.
The unfair thing here is, that in NJ when Torricelli was going to lose - dems were allowed to put Lotterburg's name in the last hours while in Florida there is a different law & Foley's name could not be changed. That is a shame & sham on the people of Florida.

Anita, I agree with you 100%. I could just bash Bill Crystal's arrogant mouth as he makes his statements on Fox News this morning. For the first time I agreed with Juan Williams about something when he shot back at Crystal and his neocons being directly involved in this loss.

Well, I almost totally disagree with you.
The things you are griping about are not lack of leadership, but lack of political conniving.
He just does not have the gene for dishonest conniving.
Take the border issue. Any rational person knows that some accommodation will eventually have to be made for at least a large portion of the illegals currently here.
I was hoping and praying that he would forget that long enough to get strict border enforcement passed and then, OF COURSE, we would have had to deal with that, and generally been willing to do so.
But he's just too blunt and honest. Too trusting of liars, maybe. But the best man we've had since Reagan and the best one we're likely to get for many years to come.
Maybe someday you will realize that.
It remains to be seen, but the MSM will be supporting them every step of the way. Waxman will be portrayed as a crusading congressman rooting out corruption and waste. The message will be the Dems are now in charge and all is well again.
The next two years will be a continuous campaign by the Dems until 2008. It took them 12 years to regain the House. It won't be easy to get it back any time soon. They know how to use the power of incumbency.
Beware. If you write letters to the editors in favor of George Bush that actually make it to publication in a liberal newspaper, you will be bombarded with hateful emails. That happened to me when I published one in the New York Times last year. They just google your name and find your email address.

And lastly get off your President's back and support like your fellow Republicans should have in congress and then the result last Tuesday would have probably been different. They caused the public to see the Republican party as fragmented and therefore did not give them confidence to vote for a Republican candidate coupled with the media portraying Republicans as radical right wingers.

Interestingly enough, Couric, who is blatantly biased, is only 'showing' in the ratings. And just barely. I read tht Geraldo's show is at time beating Couric in the ratings.
