"we need a serious realistic debate on this."

So, in essence, if an invasion force enters the U.S. in great numbers over a period of time, we should just forget about it, and give them citizenship?

That's really serious debate, alright.

Cost effective solution: large fines of employers of illegals and a $1000 bounty for each illegal turned in by A U.S. Citizen. (That would be cost-effective in the drain they put on our infrastructure, jails, schools, and law enforcement). Additionally, USSC needs to rule on the issue of dropping anchor babies under the guise of Constitutional and precedential decisions. If you are here illegally, you can not gain citizenship for your offspring born here, period.

BTW Dane, you live in a state that couldn't even manage to re-elect one of the best senators in the senate. Perhaps if you weren't so obsessed with other states you could have spent some energy getting Santorum re-elected. But no, you have to tell us what to do when you can't even keep your own house clean.

Not sorry at all that your hero, Travis's rhetoric was thourougly rejected.

My hero is Curtis Martin of the New York Jets. You know, the team that has a much better record than the Steelers?

Kyl, who was openly against the McCain/Kennedy bill was voted back in overwhemlingly.

Uh but Kyl proposed his own solution(Kyl/Cornyn. which he was tarred and feathered on FR, BTW) while Hayworth went with the bashing the President route on Imus's show.

Tell me McGavin who is returning to DC and who is not.(I can give you a hint, the person groveling and sending mega resumes around to Arizona radio stations, his intials are J.D.)

No, he wasn't tarred and feathered here on FR. Most people in Arizona AND Texas were for his proposal. You see Dane, your problem is you don't even bother to listen to people. You just go around slamming people who don't agree with you 100%. You're sick on the immigration issue and you've more than pissed off a lot of Freepers with your sick insistance on tagging anyone against open borders as being a Tancredo supporter. Well you know what you're going to end up with? NOTHING!!! Because the longer this goes on, the less people are willing to give the illegals ANYTHING.

No, he(Kyl) wasn't tarred and feathered here on FR, for his proposed immigration bill

Oh yes he was, and your denial is not a river in Egypt.

I live in San Diego and we tax payers spend millions of dollars a year supporting the illegals and also dealing with their crime.
We have tens of thousands of illegals here.

We are subsidizing these illegals because those who want cheap labor and cheap prices who live in other states who don't have to deal with this problem.

These open border people are no different than those collecting welfare as that is what they are doing at the expense of people like us in San Diego.

I can agree with you on the anchor babies at least.

15 million x 1,000?

I do not favor a blanket amnesty, I also don't favor giving Social Security to people who have only worked 5 years in the US.

I also think 2 dwi's means serve your jail time then get deported, if you are caught again, felony charges. I am bit tired of importing drunks, we have enough of our own thank you.

"15 million x 1,000?"

Yes, which I think works out to about $15 billion, which would be a break-even against the cost incurred in one year for the economic penalty to American Citizens for the illegals benefits.

Just as important will be the removal of the illegal votes from the Democrats' election chances, which depend on the Hispanic vote to continue the handouts to buy the votes of their illegal constituency. Kalifornia is at the mercy of the Hispanic and lunatic fringe vote.

Thank you, AC, that's what i thought was going on. I cannot BELIEVE Dane started A SECOND thread about this 3-4 hours after the first one. Anyone including Mel Martinez who believes that ANY congress critter was defeated for a stand on NO amnesty/illegal immigration ONLY hasn't looked at any facts or are chasing moonbeams trying to bolster their position.

I would like to see JD run for McPains seat when it comes around. JD may not be popular in some towns or localities but he would do well with the rest of the state. We need an outspoken Senator to get this mess fixed!
