Good ol' Rocky Anderson's opinion of you nice folks probably isn't much higher.
So you're saying we should change our principles because people who are too dumb or too lazy to find out the facts can't understand the truth?
Interesting.
No, I'm saying a significant block of voters have the perception that the Bush administration has a number of phonies who laugh at them privately.
If you have principles you are standing on, then your public and private conduct will be in agreement. I have no idea how much of Kuo's ranting is based on fact, but the perception that some Bush admin people are laughing at religious conservatives behind their backs is strong.
When the Kuo story broke, Bush should have unconditionally condemned that behavior, saying whether it happened or not, it is wrong for anyone to do that. He didn't. Instead, Rove sent some THs out to say that Kuo was a nut. Hmmmm.
I'm leaving in a few minutes for an out of town business trip, so if you reply, I won't get it until tomorrow.
Well, I can't help it what people believe; people believe Bush had something to do with WTC, too, but it doesn't make it true.
On the first count except maybe he didn't want the NY Times to say Mean things about him.It makes me want to scream and pull my hair out!! On the second the dems were so desperate to win this time they would have used anything they had,so I don't think so.
Then again maybe there is a miniature cold war in the Capitol with a MAD (Mutually assured destruction) policy between the parties.
The difference is that the facts of the WTC can be ascertained and confirmed, whereas the claims of Kuo cannot. Of course, he's gotten some measure of backup from Novak, FWIW.
Therefore the Kuo thing lends itself to a believe/not-believe situation.
I think the GOP should locate some principles. Then articulate them coherently and uniformly. Then demonstrate that they live them.
Hey, I know! We'll call it a party platform! What a concept!
