A Muslim lawmaker on Monday night raged at a catering crewmember of a Chinese restaurant for serving her food with pork.
Rep. Faysah Dumarpa of Lanao del Sur reportedly slapped the crewmember, Virginia Fernando Altamirano, and held a bread knife at her.
Altamirano, 36, has filed a complaint against Dumarpa with the Quezon City police.
“It is forbidden in Islam for a believer to eat pork or its derivatives. To do so is a grievous sin. An intentional consumption of such meat would hinder me from gaining entrance to paradise. Beyond dietary concerns, this is a matter of faith,” Dumarpa said in a letter to Ramon Sy, head of the Shangri-La Finest Chinese Cuisine, which caters for congressmen during sessions at the South Lounge in the House of Representatives.
Dumarpa said she “felt betrayed” and “grossly insulted” by being served food containing pork. “I assumed your [catering] crew purposely caused that by intentional concealment of the fact herein set forth. If it was not at all intentional, then there must have been gross negligence on their part.”
Dumarpa even demanded that Sy fire the crewmen, and that only halal foods be made available in the South Lounge.
Another Muslim legislator, Anak Mindanao party-list Rep. Mujiv Hataman, said the House leadership should take responsibility for the gaffe.
“This indicates lack of religious and cultural sensitivity even within the House of Representatives itself,” Hataman said in a text message.
To prevent a repetition of the incident, Hataman suggested that the House consider putting up a separate lounge for Muslim legislators and visitors of Congress.
This stupid a-hole will do that to the wrong person and end up being a better raghead as she bleeds to death after being shot.

According to Muslim teaching, they can’t eat anything that even comes in contact with pork (or alcohol) … and she ordered something in a Chinese restaurant! Anything you order in a Chinese restaurant probably came into contact with pork at some point.
Sounds like she had an agenda when she went into that establishment. Not that a Muslim would ever have an agenda.

These Moslems get on my nerves with their total insensitivity to the way most of the rest of us feel about "the other white meat".

My dad whose read virtually every primary or secondary text concerning North American settlement from 1500 to 1700 said that in the good old days the ministers, along with the elders and deacons, constituted not just the religious authorities but the police as well, so this wasn't at all surprising.

Man, I know what you mean, I'm married to a Norwegian. The Norwegians have so many great attributes but their cuisine is not one of them. First time I had Lutefisk, I thought they had mistakenly cooked a rotten fish.
Why don't we use this tactic more? There is talk of Muslims creating a camp here in Iowa. On land donated by the Corps of Engineers, no less.
Why doesn't some loyal American turn loose a bunch of good ole Iowa hogs?
Too bad the camp is in the eastern part of the state as I understand there are wild boars in the western part of the state. Let's pray for eastward migration.
No need, IMHO. Anyone reading the story will figure that out quickly enough... and: the location of the outrage doesn't do anything to ameliorate it, in any event.

OMG my mom served those smelts too. They are awful. And the canned yuky peas.I once lined them up under the rim of my dinner plate so I wouldn't have to eat them. We got tater tots with the smelts and peas and I hate them too. I don't make food my children won't eat, what is the use? Its funny how one person can say something and the memories flood back. Looks like battery for the slap and attempted assault with a deadly weapon (knife). Put her in prison for 18 months with a steady diet of ham sandwiches as a reminder of her stupidity.
Actually, the pig ought to demand an apology from the ragheadess...
And apparently she believes that slapping & threatening people who serve her is not going to keep her out?! Man, is she in for a rude awakening One Fine Day!
Besides, if it was not intentional, then what is she afraid of? I mean, it's very evident that keeping away from pork hasn't helped her.
I really, really don't like putting down other religions. Even if I don't believe them, I can see the beauty in a lot of them. And I never felt that the way to promote my own philosophy was to put down another. (That's why I'm not going to say anything about that in this rant.) In fact, I used to have a lot of respect for Islam - before I knew very much about it - as it seemed very concerned with discipline, responsibility & holiness. But any more, since it's been in the spot light and is no longer an enigma, I see nothing in it. Out of ALL the religions in the world, Islam is the most bankrupt. And it's leaders are even more clueless than PCUSA General Assembly. Dumbest "religion" I've ever heard of in my life. Sorry, if it offends any of you Muzzies out there, but I think that anyone who follows Mo is a Perfect Idiot.

I don't know who elected this Dumarpa fellah but I think it was a mistake. He certainly won't bring home the bacon.
