I wouldn't trade my 1 bdrm apt in San Diego for the area.
I enjoy living in a large city and wearing shorts in Dec.
I have relatives in Lima and Wapakoneta and have seen the midwest. Am a native of San Diego, the only other place I would live is New York City where I also have roots that go back to the 1600s.

There are large cities where you can wear shorts in December BTW that aren't as expensive as San Diego-Phoenix, Houston, Vegas...
