I just got up - it's Sat. a.m. here. Fox is not showing the actual hanging - has that been going on all night?

Fox has been showing the clear video of the part of the hanging before the trap was sprung and a poor quality video of Saddam dead wrapped in a white shroud. The death video looks like it was shot with a cell phone's camera. It did appear that his neck was broken. His head was turned farther than it should go, like more than 90 degrees to the right and you could see
his shirt and tie indicating he was lying on his back but his
neck angle was crazy.

Yes, very satisfied.

That monster brought a lot of grief to a lot of people around the world, not only to his people, the Iraqi's.

D***. The NYTimes wrote that? Who snuck a conservative journalist in there and wrote that copy? I'm speechless!

This is the second time in two months that I have been shocked by the NYTimes. (The first time was when they endorsed the Republican/Conservative Party candidate for NY State Controller.)

Not to fear, though. I'm sure they'll have a blistering editorial denouncing the execution. I see they already have a mealy-mouthed "news analysis" on their Home page.

It's interesting that a liberal I know switched his party registration from D to R just so he could follow a pattern similar to Howlin's. That is, he figured the D side was already to the left, but he could do the most damage to conservatism by voting on the R side for liberal Republicans, both in the primary and general elections.

He pointed out that by voting this way, even if it caused a D to lose, it meant that in the long run, even R's would have to move to the left to get more votes.

That does seem similar to the way conservatives are now marginalized with lip service but no action. As long as candidates can count on our votes regardless of actions, then why should they ever act as conservatives?

OK stretched neck, I get it.

Well - we have seen video of him being led to the gallows, that's better.

Why do you think you are the spokesmen for Conservatism? I am more Conservative than you since I don't want gummit controlling anything including Mexican labor. You have to realize there is a wide spectrum of Conservatism and you represent a tiny sliver.

We/Howlin are not the enemy, communism is the enemy and that is who you should be fighting.

You should have read further on the thread, bud:

There's always a certain percentage that will sit home or go another way. No biggie. My advice is to ignore them. Concentrate on recruiting those who see the larger picture and will help us hold the White House in '08 and win back the majority in congress! We must continue destroying the tyrants and terrorists wherever they rear their ugly heads and we must contine rebuilding the Judiciary. We know that our country and our Liberty itself is at risk if RAT Hillary or Benedict Arnold McCain wins the presidency, especially if they have a RAT congress behind them.

I feel it would have been fitting if a hooded executioner and Saddam were face to face and just before the gallows doors swung open the executioner removed his hood and it was President Bush. Pull that lever Mr. President.

Cant wait to hear all the moonbats crying how the USA executed this piece of crap. Should be very entertaining. Then again they wont cry over the millions of people that Saddam had killed.

Saddam, Uday and Qusay are deaday and the world is a much better place because of it. Iran’s so called President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad-yabba-dabba-do and Syria's President Bashar al-Assad-peanuthead had better heed the warnings of the free world. (If those warnings ever come to fruition) It’s better to be on the side of good then to be on the side of evil.

What pissed me off this morning is seeing an Iraqi saying “Thanks to God we got rid of Saddam.” Well Mr. Iraqi, thanks to the United States military and her friends, the United States Military and her friends got rid of Saddam. You should cherish the very gift of freedom that has been given to you. It is time for the Iraqi people to stand up and take control of your own country so our brave men and women can come home to their families.
