I don't care what they think Cheney has done wrong, this punishment is too severe.

Yeah, well, the 100%ers had their chance and a lot of them managed to help out the dems. Right, I forgot about the embryonic stem cell stuff. That was the one he already vetoed, wasn't it? I forgot they were going to try that again. Seems kind of silly when they know the outcome but I guess they're playing to their base.

If we get our Sherman and Grant, it's rally round the flag time. Our guys are out there and we need the can do team. They are in place. Everyone else, get out of the way.

Why would a rational person expect the President to veto legislation passed by a REPUBLICAN CONGRESS acting in consultation with the White House?

Indeed! Thank you for your comments!!!!

Night all . . . I'm off to read my new book: "Bush's War."

The book details the ways in which a hostile media has prevented the President from shaping/sharing his message vis a vis the War on Terror!

[Of course, if the MSM would report the news OBJECTIVELY, they would enable the President to maintain a JA rating in the 60s -- which is exactly why neither 'ifs' will ever happen!!!]

*****

It cannot be done. We worry about America not having English as a common language. Yet even when libs and conservatives both use English we are not using the same language.

We use the logic part of our conscious brain to discuss issues.
They use the feelings center of their subconscious brain to choose their preferences. To the subconscious brain, feelings are 'real' so they 'really' believe everything that they stand for.

"War is not the Answer"
"Minimum wage increase is nice"
"Republicans are mean"

-- all feelings but accepted as fact, carved in stone to libs.

I do not know what the solution is, but the first step is recognizing the dual methods by which we approach political activity amd accept that we do not see the same reality.

Blue always denotes sincerity and honesty to me; perfect for our President. The blue also matches those gorgeous silk chairs!!

Awww thanks. I'm in kind of a wait-and-see mode. I don't feel like being that picky about my first job. I'm going to apply for lots of things and see what happens.

Well, I finally got my Christmas decorations put away.

At least it wasn't February like last year. But I was sick all January last year...at least that's what I told everyone.

I have not watched news either. Just heard a bit of Nancy Pelosi on Rush saying how it was all for the children. I can't believe she drug that tired old line out.

Here we are - not celebrating the greatest step a woman has ever taken ==== acc to ms Pelosi!

LOL! I do wish that I could be proud of her, but she is SO wrongheaded.

If pollsters would weight their polls FAIRLY, they would discover that the President's JA rating is actually in the 50% range (+/-3).

G'evening Deb. Thanks for your great summary of the day's news. I always appreciate it, particularly since I'm almost totally cut off from news while at work these days.

Re the above, I just want to say the President's JA rating is actually inthe 50% range -- except among the perpetual whiners here on FR. Sigh.

Lol it's such a dem line, isn't it? It's all about the children! Doesn't matter what the issue is, it's about the children! It's amusing :P

I hope so. I figure even if my first job doesn't end up being my dream job, it'll at least help me figure out what I want to do. Not being picky should help me find a job easier.
