ew native-born Americans now raise their children to do work like that:

The comparable demographics here raise their kids to have kids while still in high school, drop out, and sign up for welfare. The boys, deprived of a father at home, join the gangs, and of course function as sperm donors for the girlsHOs

Kelly, the Arizona Republic has an article that says the team was armed. It's linked in post #12.

And on the AZ board, FReeper CB1 says the teams along the Colorado River area (where he patrols as a Minuteman) are armed.

I'm not saying you're wrong for reading the article that was posted here and thinking the teams are unarmed - I'm just saying that other sources refute what was posted here.

Remember Elian Gonzalez?

I do. He was ARRESTED BY THE FEDS, WITH GUNS IN EVIDENCE, then sent back to Cuba - JUST FOR BEING ILLEGAL.
What's happened, since Clinton & Reno??!?
How come Reno can use Feds, but today - nothing is done AT ALL.

Well, the federal government is great at deporting kids - not so hot at catching and deporting smugglers, thugs, criminals, terrorists as well as ordinary illegal border crashers.

All that money spent for the National Guard....let them G*U*A*R*D then - the border would be a great place to start.

Please be assured I am not blaming the actual National Guard troops, just the stupid government fools who run things in general and the left in particular.

then the Posse Comitatus Act prohibits those military forces (excepting the Coast Guard) from engaging in any sort of policing activities. They can't arrest illegals.

It depends on their orders. If the National Guard are wearing their militia hat, then they can, as they often are, be used for law enforcement duties, and are not subject to the Posse Commitatus Act. That is in the Constitution, Art. I, section 8, which the PC act does not override.

In any event, PC is just a law, dating from the 1870s. If we need to change it, Congress can do that by a simple majority vote.

Same thing happened during the weeks after 9/11 they were carrying weapons without ammo. The stupid thing is that this was announced.

IIRC, the sailors on the Cole had unloaded weapons.

In some states they were carrying unloaded weapons, California for example, but in others, Texas and Oklahoma that I know of first hand, they were carrying loaded weapons in the airports.

Yeah nice graph, but Border Patrol is not allowed to enforce the laws they have sworn to do.

Effective policy and tactics are preconditions to funding; unless you're a Liberal in which case the only element that is required is a large sum of tax dollars.

Richard B. Cheney, VP, is also a CFR member. Also,Rumsfield and Gates are members.

I knew some of that about Rice but not all of it. Thanks for the info.

You're right. But that's even worse. They had to retreat instead of standing their ground and defending our country, perhaps because they had no ammunition? What if these were armed gangs of Iranians or Chinese instead of Mexicans? When, exactly, do we get to fight back?
