I guess a dog thread is appropriate since these Sunday shows have become dogs and feature dogs.

Had a friend we called..."The Slum Lord"....after three excuses for not paying rent....he took the front door off and said it needed maintenance....would not put it back on til the people left....

I agree with you. If they perceive being attacked they retreat and accept anything in defense.

Although it IS fun to tease. I told an environmentalist that environmentalism should not be taught in schools because it's a religion. Wow. Talk about confused.

The AMT almost got me last year....it kinda snuck up on me...I've never ever been close to it....they keep changing the rules and now it's starting to hit us lower middle income classes....have you heard of any changes in the AMT for 2007?

They are turning somersaults trying to spin their agenda to suit the Voter choices in November. There have been none, and without a change, the AMT will hit an additional 23 million families this year, and they are families who will not consider themselves rich. The dems are in a bit of a fix right now, having passed their phony "pay as you go" measure. They can't take the anticipated revenue away from anything else. They never do that. So a tax increase will be required to offset the revenue loss. Who will they tax, I wonder? If nothing is done, those 23 million families are going to be very, very angry and the dems will be trying to figure out a way to blame it on the other party

Are there any witnesses? Both other dogs were OFF leash?

Well my 3-yr old granddaughter was a witness for what that's worth. Those people said to me, when they stopped and asked for money, that Jo-Ann attacked their dog on THEIR property!

I reminded them, gently, that she was attacked by their dog on a PUBLIC STREET! They're inventing the truth here, folks. It's the way of America today. No pride, no self-respect...just lie and try and get your way.

My granddaughter did tell my daughter about the dog attack and the big butcher knife....THAT scared the child silly, can you imagine?

MY dog was on a leash and in a harness both times we were attacked. She was attacked directly in front of each owner's home but IT WAS IN THE STREET! THE DOGS WERE LOOSE! It's not rocket science here.

Way I figger, and I've certainly been thinking about it, is that these dogs that attacked Jo-Ann likely think the street is actually part of their property. Dogs don't know such as streets and fences. Thus they wantonly attacked her as they THOUGHT she was on their property. I'm guessing here as I really don't know how dogs think. But it explains perhaps why they didn't think about their size compared to the dog they were attacking. Though I don't know if dogs even "think" about such things.

It's the audacity of those cocker owners that astounds me. I sit back and watch their shenanigans and I wonder at what point they'll be decent and honest. THEY know what the hell happened and they know they're lying. I'm happy to, heh, let sleeping dogs lie, you should smile. But THEY'RE greedy and they live in liberal America where the truth is simply what you can make it out to be.

It's been nice discussing this with y'all. This cocker incident happened on 12/18/06 and the pomeranian about a month before. Like I've said, I now walk my dog in the next community where there are no, as of now, houses. OR DOGS.

By the way, the state of Delaware puts all dogs on a 45-day probation if they get into a fight. Sooooo, yep, Jo-Ann is on a 45 day probation, not that there's justice or anything anymore in this country.

This "probation" thing simply means that there better not be any more dog fights with Jo-Ann or the SPCA will be looking at her closely. So I've got to be very careful to stay away from dogs cause, well you all read what happened, right? Jo-Ann's the big dog and SHE'LL get the bad rap.

Those cocker owners did the really stupid. I didn't call the SPCA, they did because they were mad because I wouldn't pay the Vet bill. Greed, pure and simple. Fairness has nothing to do with it.

But they'll get their day. I am not going to report their constantly loose dogs although the SPCA animal control officer said he wishes I would because of incidents like this. Soon enough one of their dogs will get loose again and someone will report it. They are not liked at all in this community but folks, I have been the kindest soul to them on the planet. I happen to LIKE their dogs although they keep them tied up and they get all wrapped up. At times we hear their dogs just barking all weekend.

I am in the right here and I'm just going to see how far this goes. Soon enough they're going to lose their dogs and hey, maybe for their dogs' sake, it will be for the best.

I am only trying to introduce some thinking synapse activity in her brain, but cannot start by 'offending' her with a 'do you think' question. She will hear that as an 'attack' on her feelings.

We really need to internalize and act on this concept. Our political leaders do too.

I respect Lieberman for his stand with Israel and he does stand by them all the way. Other than that his voting record speaks for itself.
Too bad more people can't separate Israel's right to survive from other politics.
I still say many Dems could care less about any war anywhere unless it provides political opportunity for them.(or at least a talking point)
