Snugs, this seems to have officially become a 'dog' thread.

Thanks for the pictures of dear old Spot.

I guess a dog thread is appropriate since these Sunday shows have become dogs and feature dogs.

Sorry for the insult to dogs.

I agree with you. If they perceive being attacked they retreat and accept anything in defense.

Although it IS fun to tease. I told an environmentalist that environmentalism should not be taught in schools because it's a religion. Wow. Talk about confused.

#386, I am sorry I missed all the fun today also. That picture of Timmah looks like what the Rats are going through now trying to figure out how to be Communist/Socialists Anti American Pro-Terrorist without being obvious. They are turning somersaults trying to spin their agenda to suit the Voter choices in November. As usual they are tone deaf, and got it wrong, but that matters not to them, they do not care they will try to jam through their leftist. hateful agenda through the back door if they have to. I missed all the shows and all this thread, RA is not being kind to me today takes half a day just to be able to make a fist, and walk like someone besides Herman Munster. I have lots of catching up to do...

have you heard of any changes in the AMT for 2007?

There have been none, and without a change, the AMT will hit an additional 23 million families this year, and they are families who will not consider themselves rich. The dems are in a bit of a fix right now, having passed their phony "pay as you go" measure. They can't take the anticipated revenue away from anything else. They never do that. So a tax increase will be required to offset the revenue loss. Who will they tax, I wonder? If nothing is done, those 23 million families are going to be very, very angry and the dems will be trying to figure out a way to blame it on the other party

Are there any witnesses? Both other dogs were OFF leash?

Well I'll end here cause I'm tired and you folks are prolly tired of me.

Well my 3-yr old granddaughter was a witness for what that's worth. Those people said to me, when they stopped and asked for money, that Jo-Ann attacked their dog on THEIR property!

I reminded them, gently, that she was attacked by their dog on a PUBLIC STREET! They're inventing the truth here, folks. It's the way of America today. No pride, no self-respect...just lie and try and get your way.

My granddaughter did tell my daughter about the dog attack and the big butcher knife....THAT scared the child silly, can you imagine?

MY dog was on a leash and in a harness both times we were attacked. She was attacked directly in front of each owner's home but IT WAS IN THE STREET! THE DOGS WERE LOOSE! It's not rocket science here.

Way I figger, and I've certainly been thinking about it, is that these dogs that attacked Jo-Ann likely think the street is actually part of their property. Dogs don't know such as streets and fences. Thus they wantonly attacked her as they THOUGHT she was on their property. I'm guessing here as I really don't know how dogs think. But it explains perhaps why they didn't think about their size compared to the dog they were attacking. Though I don't know if dogs even "think" about such things.

It's the audacity of those cocker owners that astounds me. I sit back and watch their shenanigans and I wonder at what point they'll be decent and honest. THEY know what the hell happened and they know they're lying. I'm happy to, heh, let sleeping dogs lie, you should smile. But THEY'RE greedy and they live in liberal America where the truth is simply what you can make it out to be.

It's been nice discussing this with y'all. This cocker incident happened on 12/18/06 and the pomeranian about a month before. Like I've said, I now walk my dog in the next community where there are no, as of now, houses. OR DOGS.

By the way, the state of Delaware puts all dogs on a 45-day probation if they get into a fight. Sooooo, yep, Jo-Ann is on a 45 day probation, not that there's justice or anything anymore in this country.

This "probation" thing simply means that there better not be any more dog fights with Jo-Ann or the SPCA will be looking at her closely. So I've got to be very careful to stay away from dogs cause, well you all read what happened, right? Jo-Ann's the big dog and SHE'LL get the bad rap.

Those cocker owners did the really stupid. I didn't call the SPCA, they did because they were mad because I wouldn't pay the Vet bill. Greed, pure and simple. Fairness has nothing to do with it.

But they'll get their day. I am not going to report their constantly loose dogs although the SPCA animal control officer said he wishes I would because of incidents like this. Soon enough one of their dogs will get loose again and someone will report it. They are not liked at all in this community but folks, I have been the kindest soul to them on the planet. I happen to LIKE their dogs although they keep them tied up and they get all wrapped up. At times we hear their dogs just barking all weekend.

I am in the right here and I'm just going to see how far this goes. Soon enough they're going to lose their dogs and hey, maybe for their dogs' sake, it will be for the best.

I am only trying to introduce some thinking synapse activity in her brain, but cannot start by 'offending' her with a 'do you think' question. She will hear that as an 'attack' on her feelings.

We really need to internalize and act on this concept. Our political leaders do too.

I respect Lieberman for his stand with Israel and he does stand by them all the way. Other than that his voting record speaks for itself.
Too bad more people can't separate Israel's right to survive from other politics.
I still say many Dems could care less about any war anywhere unless it provides political opportunity for them.(or at least a talking point)

I guess it's no worse than the ditz on FOX this morning saying the voters gave the Dems a mandate on November 7th. It had me screaming at the screen.... they barely have a hold on the Senate by one vote and not too much more in the Congress and they call it a "mandate."

Currently, they are drunk with power, but wait until they start raising taxes, on the middle class. for pay-go and then see how the American Public feels about them.

John Kasic started out being really nice to Martin Frost when both were guests on FOX yesterday, but by the end he was spitting bullets because Frost said the upper eschelon needed to pay more in taxes, Kasic asked isn't 50% enought, you want more? Frost is telling him he's a crybaby and only paid 32% to which Kasic is turning red and telling him then he needs to add in state taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, etc., and it's easily 50% or more.... then they cut them both off.

Sorry to hear about what you are going through - I thought I'd throw in my support...

People really need to take responsibility for their pets. It drives me nuts when something their pet does is blamed on me or my behavior when the pet has acted incorrectly or was never trained properly.

If people are going to have open yards like that they need to get a leash for their dogs. It's a different story if the back yard is fenced off and they just go in the back and play unleashed.

Unless you live in a rural area, there's not a good reason to leave your dog unleashed unless he's inside or being supervised or playing in a gated area where it can't hurt itself or others in that area. JMHO.

Been there, done that. From 1954-1994 the Dems controlled Congress with the same old socialist agendas and power politics (call it the New Deal, Fair Deal, New Frontier, Great Society, whatever). It took that many decades to get rid of them the first time.

Americans put up with it then. They likely will now. Especially with our McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform Laws stacking the deck for incumbents and the MSM enthusiastically acting as their campaign propaganda organ.

And back then there weren't 100 million illegal aliens and their families newly minted voters from failed 3rd World cultures, narco-states, and Islamic hellholes, either - many of them looking for free handouts, compensation for past slights, or the desire to vote themselves into imagined riches on the backs of the native Americans who for so long kept them from their just due!

Guess who will vote to keep that party going?

Great catch AC. Actually the Senate is technically tied right now(with the sick dem out for awhile) with Cheney the deciding vote if necessary and the house can pass anything they want but GW still has to sign it so they can make any claim they want and they usually do.(but don't believe it.)

The tragedy is that the dems wish to bring us all down to their level.

Too many think that it would be a good idea to respond to them in kind.

I am not one of those people, however. I do wish the President would simply come out and state his position, pointing out the misrepresentations coming from the opposition.

Well you're right and you're wrong. You're right in that Biden may indeed have something sexual going with Russert, not that there's anything wrong with that...er, actually, there is something very wrong with that, as in disgustingly wrong and too revolting to think about.

You're wrong in that it would be a sexual relationship "only" with Russert. Biden appears regularly on EVERY Sunday show, even FNS. Perhaps he counts as his paramours such notables as Bob Schieffer (who I think is well beyond male menopause, if such a thing exists), Steffenapolous (the surest bet for a gay newsman yet!), and Chris Wallace. Oh lets not forget Wolf Blitzer, who, if he's not gay, certainly has a very gay name. First time I heard it I thought it was a fake name, like a stage name for a gay porno star (such as Geraldo Rivera). Nobody real would have such a name. I actually met Blitzer when he was covering the Pentagon and our computer room was buried deep under the press room there. Peter Arnett was there with him. A few weeks later Peter was with Bernie "Hiding Under The Bed While Whimpering" Shaw were live on the air from there hotel roomwhen we first bombed Iraq back in 1990.

Question: Just what were those two doing all alone in that hotel room before the bombers struck???

Maybe they're all gay, not that there's anything wrong (that I would want to think about) with that.

Lawrence Korb just said the most ridiculous thing...that the Admiral was appointed because no one in the Army or Marines would do what the President wants. Joulwan and the lady from the AEI try to shoot it down, but Korb hangs tough, says he doesn't actually know this for a fact, but there can be no other explanation.

That's got to be one of the most absurd comments ever made. The DBM/MSM's ignorance of things military is truly appalling. They are so appallingly ignorant, that they breathlessly believe every absurd conspiracy theory and dumb conjecture. Like a secret society composed of retired flag officers. Secret handshakes, and dues, too, I guess.

And let me add that I am grateful for the sacrificing individuals who actually watch that drek in order to bring us the few nuggets of information.

Need a web site? Oops! Not supposed to do that here.

Small dogs are some of the most vicious I've ever seen.

Not all. Depends on the breed. Pugs are pudgy little sweethearts. Boston Terriers will play until they drop.

Great pics. I've had Labs. Puppies from hell until about 2-years-old, then the best dogs ever.

I agree- Pugs are great (even though they're not my type). Boston Terriers are OK. But I can't help it-- I like 'em the bigger the better. :-)

Well, my philosophy is this:

If you can make money having fun, thats great.

But, if you can make enough money to buy MORE fun, that is even better.

If you get paid well, you should do it. Just be like Amazon. Have good service, but NEVER let them get you on the phone.

My response is a quote my father always pounded us with:

It is not doing the thing we like to do, but liking the thing we have to do, that makes life blessed.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I'm not sure that the Goethe quote conflicts in any way with your philosophy, but it does have the value of being shorter <g>

I like Alton Brown too, but he does get long-winded sometimes. I recently watched his show on puff pastry, because I am determined to do a Beef Wellington ala-Gordon Ramsay, but I swear, Brown talks so much, you can barely focus on the FOOD sometimes. I dont need to know the origin of the rice molecule, or that Eskimos were the first to bottle water, I just want to learn to COOK.

Then don't watch AB as a primary source, watch Rachel Ray, Giada De Laurentiis,  "Semi Home Made" with Sandra Lee or (my favorite in this category) Michael Chiarello's stuff.  AB is about the "why," not so much the "how."  Personally I prefer his approach for entertainment and education but I mostly watch the others for ideas to use when I cook.

AB started out as a film maker, producing award winning rock video's, before he decided that there was a niche not being met on TV in terms of "Mister Wizard meets Julia Childs."  He put his life on hold and he and his wife went off to the back woods of somewhere (Vermont?) to a culinary institute to learn to be a chef.  His idea was always to do the type of show he is doing.  Now that's an enterpreneur I can get behind!

I've probably learned more "how to" stuff from the others I mentioned but the "why to" stuff from AB's shows have provided more insight that make me able to decide how I want to adapt the recipes and "formulas" I've seen others present.

If I win the lottery (Powerball is $131 million this Wednesday) I will engage AB's production company to document my move from lower middle class (according to the Dhimmicarts I'm one of the evil filthy rich, but I know better) to the realm of the upper middle class (let's be real, "$131 million" in lotto terms is under $40 million after taxes as a cash option and boy do I have relatives!) but then I'd look to folks like Michael Chiarello or Rachel Ray to learn how to cook (not be a "chef"... how to cook!) and I'd expect AB to help explain it to me.

Just to let you know, I have a spread sheet for how I disperse the Powerball Lottery winnings when (not if) I win.  FR gets a "modest" contribution each donation cycle (if I win) that should shorten the FReepaton.  Really... I promise!

I happen to be thinking about culinary school myself. Gordon Ramsay has inspired me.

(Brit Hume) would even more be interesting as a Pundit than host.

Yes, but he's a better host than Wallace would be, hands down!
