Pro-Life Group Releases New List of Planned Parenthood Abortion Donors
LifeNews.com ^ | January 10, 2007 | Steven Ertelt

Posted on 01/11/2007 1:37:37 PM PST by cpforlife.org

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A pro-life organization that monitors corporations that donate money to Planned Parenthood has released a new list of companies that give money to the nation's largest abortion business. New corporations on the boycott list include jeweler Tiffany & Company and Blackjack Pizza restaurants. Life Decisions International has been monitoring companies for over 15 years and says that at least 137 corporations have stopped funding Planned Parenthood as a result of the pro-life boycotts. That's cost Planned Parenthood an estimated $35 million.

"This should be a testament to those who believe it is impossible to change corporate philanthropic behavior," LDI president Douglas Scott said.

Companies appearing on the boycott list for the first time also include AlphaGraphics, television broadcasting firm Arizona Lotus, BolchalkFReY Marketing, Kara-Line (Wild Carrots apparel), hotel and resort operator Lowe Enterprises, and Scolari's Food & Drug.

Numerous corporations have appeared on the LDI boycott list for years and the group encourages pro-life people to continue to boycott their products and contact their corporate headquarters to let them know why.

Neiman Marcus, software maker Adobe, Wachovia, Golub (which operates Price Chopper supermarkets), Nike, Time Warner, Unilever, Bank of America, the Dallas Cowboys, CIGNA, Walt Disney, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Whole Foods Market, and Nationwide insurance are some of the large companies that have supported the abortion business.

The new boycott list also includes the names of charitable groups that have developed relationships with Planned Parenthood and LDI asks pro-life people to disassociate themselves with them.

These groups include the American Cancer Society, Camp Fire girls, The Dr. Phil Foundation, Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Human Rights Watch, Kiwanis Clubs, the March of Dimes, Rotary Clubs, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the YWCA.

"We ask all people who care about life to visit this page to learn which businesses in their area are supporting Planned Parenthood," Scott said. "We urge picketing, letter-writing, and personal visits to these establishments. It is important for pro-family people to let these entrepreneurs know how they feel."

"The Pro-Life Movement will succeed only to the extent that pro-life people are willing to be inconvenienced," Scott said. "The very lives of children are worth that much effort and a whole lot more."

Life Decisions International (LDI) brings together many of North America's leading experts for its primary mission of challenging the agenda of Planned Parenthood worldwide.    LDI professionally represents the pro-life position by op-posing the radical agenda of Planned Parenthood.

Feel free to browse this site to learn more about the work       of Life Decisions International and why we oppose Planned Parenthood's agenda. You will especially want to visit the About LDI section, which includes virtually everything you may want to know about LDI and how we operate. (We're admittedly biased, but we think you will be impressed.)

Announcing Project Fight Back!

Pro-Life Activists Asked to Come to the Defense of Pregnancy Help Centers

Life Decisions International (LDI) has long been a leader in defending pregnancy help centers against the unfounded attacks from Planned Parenthood and its ilk. LDI has pub-lished numerous articles pointing out the true nature of the accusations. "It is far past the time when we should be ed-ucating pro-life advocates about the persecution faced by those who work and volunteer for pregnancy help centers," said LDI President Douglas R. Scott, Jr., in a statement to the media. "Now is the time when we must fight back."

Yes, now it is time to fight back.
"We do not simply want to defend pregnancy help centers," Scott said. "We want to put Planned Parenthood on the defensive. We want to open the eyes of the public to the horror that is Planned Parenthood. And we want to make the Planned Parenthood hierarchy re-gret the day they first began the campaign of disinformation against pregnancy help centers."

IMPORTANT WARNING: Several individuals are circulating lists of alleged corporate supporters of pro-abortion groups, most of which are grossly outdated or flatly inaccurate. The criteria used to label a corporation a supporter of abortion varies widely. Some list publishers employ no specific standards whatsoever. Please be sure the list you use is from an organization you trust--one with a reputation for standing behind what it pub-lishes without hesitation.

Organization Watch

Find out which organizations and institutions are on record supporting federal funding of embryonic stem cell experimen-tation. You will also find information about which organiza-tions support reauthorization of Title X, the U.S. Government's failed birth control program, which groups supported abortion-on-demand in the Webster case decided by the Supreme Court, and which groups opposed Senate confirmation of John G. Roberts, Jr., to be Chief Justice of the United States.

The Boycott List (see above) includes a section called Dishonorable Mention, which lists seemingly innocuous non-profit organizations that are involved with Planned Parenthood or otherwise active in the Culture of Death. Among the groups included are Outward Bound West, American Automobile Association, Kaiser Permanente, American Cancer Society, Dr. Phil Foundation, Camp Fire, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis Club, Rotary International, March of Dimes, Lions Club, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the YWCA. Involvement ranges from donating funds to pro-abortion groups (or allowing affiliates to do so), supporting anti-life causes, allowing pro-abortion groups access to membership, adopting an official pro-abortion policy position, and so forth.

Blagojevich, D-Ill., the debate surrounding the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act (S. 51), Planned Parenthood's new membership in the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, a Planned Parenthood fund-raising event featuring pro-abortion Al Gore, and much more.  (Past editions of The Caleb Report are available on this site.)

Pro-Abortion Ad Causes Stir

A provocative television advertisement released by the notori-ous Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (PPGG) has raised the ire of many people. It opens with an attractive woman who is using several tools, ostensibly at a construction site. "My father always told me to use the right tool for the right job," the woman says in a voiceover. Leaving the site, she enters the bedroom of a man who opens the covers of his bed to invite her in. The woman, whose t-shirt reads, "Sex Is Sexy," readily accepts the invitation. The woman opens a tool kit that is full of sexually-related items. She grabs condoms and returns to the bed. The woman then says to the man, "Ooh, nice tool!" The screen then changes to show the words, "Planned Parenthood Golden Gate is your toolbox." If you would like to view the ad, please send us an e-mail and we will send it to you.

Planned Parenthood Video Shows Murder Of Christians

It seems that Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (PPGG)  is not willing to take the heat generated from its release of an animated video that depicts the murder of Christian pro-life activists. After Life Decisions International and other pro-life organizations publicly criticized PPGG, the abortion-commit-ting group deactivated its website link to the video, but if you would like to view it, please send us an e-mail and we will send it to you. You will also want to read The Caleb Report (July-August 2005 edition; pdf format) for an important and eye-opening analysis of the video and its content (including still frames from the video).

I imagine Roy or Walt Disney would be quite upset at the direction Disney has gone with the support of abortion and the infamous gay days.

Don't forget, the biggest donors to Planned Parenthood are the taxpayers of the United States of America via the pro-life, republican party who controlled congress for the past 12 years. Over $1.3 billion in Title X money for "family" planning?

Title X, the birth & population control bill that funds Planned Parenthood, the nations largest provider of surgical abortions.

Wait a second... doesn't this funding also cover abstinence training and other such initiatives?

The March of Dimes went off track many decades ago, when they ceased to be an anti-TB organization and instead focused on birth defects.

The main reason for focusing on birth defects is to abort these "defective" babies before they have a chance to live.

No, it does not. and even if it did, how could one justify giving hundreds of millions to planned barrenhood every year, America's largest abortion provider, for a few abstinence programs that nobody knows about.

It wasn't a justification, it was a question.

DO NOT give your money in donation to United Way. Some of it will get to Planned Parenthood.

Give donations directly to whom you want......directly to those organization.

yea, i know..

I think title V and Title XX fund abstinence programs, and to tell you the truth, I have yet to see one advertised in the community section of the paper. I think I'll call some catholic hospitals in the area and see if they do anything.
