Real great post. You captured the important moments.
I hope no one thinks it's easy to keep up with all that happens on 4 corners. You have to be constantly aware of what is going on and are constantly moving, taking notes, getting names.
Thanks.
You also have FReepmail.

the reflected colors in this week's photo of the two buses just blew me away! Take a bow, Plea Deal!
Thank you, thank you!
I thought I wasn't going to get any decent pics of the two buses at all. The pic would most likely have sucked were it not for the failure of the camera's external flash unit. Ain't technology wonderful?
Really outstanding AAR, Albion!

I am saddened by almost anyone's death.
Except, Saddam. His death I was fine with.
If ghosts were real, and Jery were a ghost, and I were Jery, I would come back to haunt her daughter by turning the home thermostat down to 45 in the winter and up to 90 in the summer..."HOW DO YOU LIKE IT!"

Love the "night school" - looks like a baby conservative was born at Walter Reed that night.Devoutly to be hoped! If not the mom, maybe the daugher!
Here's a bona fide troop support conversion story from the Olney FReeps, which have been ably led for the past year by [Mr and Mrs]Trooprally and attended by some of the same folks who come to Walter Reed. They reached a new person just last week.

If you use Google or Yahoo, please consider GOODSEARCH instead (www.goodsearch.com). You can designate a charity to receive once cent per search, and it uses the google search engines to do so. With a big group of Freepers using goodsearch, those pennies would really add up! I have selected FREEDOM IS NOT FREE as my designated charity...Thank you for the great idea! Hope lots of FReepers will check this out!

The DC Chapter and the entire WR FReep would never have developed to such a lasting and stable and just plain enjoyable experience, week after week, without your devotion, hard work, thoughtfulness, creativity and willing service. You are our heart and soul. Thank you from, I'm sure, every one of us regulars who have been the recipients of your generous spirit.

Sorry to hear about the lady dying. Although I disagree with her, it's amazing that she could get out and do what she did. It was, and one has to give her credit. I must say, we often felt great alarm and sadness about her the times we were standing out there in terrible weather and cooperating to take warmth or shelter breaks, and they would roll her out into freezing cold or a downpour to just sit there. Without being able to move around, she was completely vulnerable to the elements.

This has turned into a tradition that will be long remembered.Bless you, too, squarebarb, and thanks! Hope you can make it. Be sure to FReepmail some of us ahead of time if you plan to be out here. DC is a great place to visit.

Let's hope you get more TDY in the DC area -- we'd love to see you again. Thanks for reading; and btw, nice writing on your home page and links -- over a thousand hits! Wow! To be fair about the number of hits, they occurred over a five-year span and, truth to tell, I have done the majority of those postings myself. My intent, when I started, was somewhat grandiose - I had the conceit that I could link all the threads on FR pertaining to "bias in the media" to that thread. But of course that wasn't possible, and the practical reality is that since I have added in my germane responses to various threads, the thread most resembles a blog. Journalists would have to work to create differences between journalism and liberalism, and simply lack any motive to do so.
I stand by that old statement, and make it stronger: The perspective of journalism is simply cynicism about everything and everyone except journalism. And far from having a motive to create differences between journalism and liberalism, journalism's perspective defines "liberalism." That is, journalism only assigns positive labels like "liberal" to those who align themselves with the cynical perspective of journalism. And "liberalism" is a positive label in journalism's lexicon since it derives from "liberty," and was therefore a consensus American virtue. Other positive labels journalism reserves to its acolytes include "moderation" and "centrism" and "progressivism." The positive label "objective" journalism reserves to itself - but any "liberal" can become a journalist and automatically become "objective" and (for the duration of the journalism gig) no longer be "liberal."
Why Broadcast Journalism is
Unnecessary and Illegitimate

Did he have his hand in his pocket when he said that?Laz, you are a naughty kitten! It was a woman, and she was on foot. As far as I know, the only thing she exposed was her great sense of humor!
