BTW , Duncan Hunter is seeking nomination as the Republican candidate for POTUS in 2008.

He is a good man, and the best of the lot.

I wouldn't get so excited about Bush saying that he is considering the pardons. Remember this is the same guy that said Rumsfield was going to stay with him till the end and we know that didn't happened.

Funny, here in Wilmington, NC we just had a police officer exonerated for shooting and killing an 18 year old kid through the front door of his house on the suspicion that he stole a Play Station 3 game set. We had some cops in Atlanta, GA who killed an old lady on a botched drug raid, and I don't think anything happened to those officers. I guess the only time that an officer of the law is held accountable for shooting a suspect is when the suspect is an illegal Mexican.

"People need to take a tough look at the facts, the evidence a jury looked at, as well as the judge. And I will do the same thing," he said.

Oh please! Like any of the drug smugglers recently pardoned had their cases reviewed and the president actually came to the conclusion that they were really innocent despite their convictions. You can pardon anyone as far as I know regardless of guilt. Pardon these men Mr. President, and please spare us the garbage about what the jury thought. The law is an ass.

This would have been (assuming it happens) far more meaningful and WAY more impactful for all Americans, if there had been someone like Congressman Tancredo on hand at each prison to intercede - presidential pardon in hand - as the Border Patrol agents turned themselves in.

I'm not saying Bush doesn't get it, but sometimes Bush doesn't get it.

Iraq is not the only important issue in the world.

Nor the only issue Americans care deeply about.

Waffling further on this, helps NOBODY.

These men should be freed. This weekend.
