Rudy's issue with gun control was about getting guns away from gang bangers in his city - not about taking guns away from legal gun owners. Drive-bys are a real problem in the inner cities.
Support whom you will in the primaries. But if Hunter tanks, I hope you have the sense to do what must be done to deny the Clintons' another tenure in the White House.
If Rudy's such a s 'liberal' was the the left and the media after him relentlessly during his term pre-9/11? Yes, he has liberal views on some issues, but he has a lot of very conservative views in some other key areas. Reagan he's not when it comes to ideology, but there's not too many Reagans available for '08. Instead, he is one of the few who can articulate the importance of the WOT and has strong credentials on law and order issues.
I'm not too sure what to make of them and if they are true or not. I'm sure most evangelicals are not really into that. But I"m tired of them threatening to bolt. After a while it has no more effect than an annoying pin prick.

As much as I like him, I am well aware that it's an uphill battle. I will support the GOP nominee.
McCain, Rudy, Romney any of these would be better than what the Dem's have to offer.
I hope after the next year of the Pelosi/Reid Congressional Leadership Extravaganza dissaffected GOP'ers (whether that's the conservatives or the moderates) will see how dangerous the other side can be for "a little while".
I'm thinking of the book by that FBI Agent a few years back...in which he talked about Chelsea refering to the Secret Service as pigs and when reprimanded, said "Well, that's what my parents call them." So we really want those who serve our nation to be refered to as pigs and worse.
