My aunt and uncle sent this out to our family at 6:30 AM today. Carrie is my young cousin, a very gifted artist, and the second eldest among her siblings. She and her family are in Michigan.
Prayer reqeust from my aunt and uncle (Carrie is their granddaughter).
This morning on her way to work Carrie's car slid on the highway and into a tree. She has very bad injuries, especially to her head. Her brain is swelling and she is now in surgery. They plan to open her skull to allow for the swelling, and she is not responding.They don't give her parents a lot of hope. We are telling everyone so you can join us in praying for our dear Caroline. They called her parents about 7:45 this morning and they're at the hospital now.

Since reading the last update on Carrie, I’ve been asking the Lord to restore the use of her arms, her painting arm particularly, with purposeful movement. When her boyfriend came over to visit Carrie yesterday, he brought a picture that Carrie had been painting of my aunt and uncle. I want to see her inner desire to use her arms rise up and ignite a fire in her healing mind. I believe that the desire to paint again will be very useful in her striving toward recovery.

I did miss the update, thanks for pointing the way for me. Glad Carrie is still progressing and her senses are sharpening. Prayers continue.
This is very inspirational. True heroism. I can’t tell you how proud I am of this family. Heavenly Father must be so pleased. If only I could be half as good.

She continues to improve in small steps and has come very far since the accident on January 25, when the doctors didn’t expect her to make it through the day.
