You're giving up?

GOOD LORD - fight the battle for goodness sake.

Candidates will conform to the loudest and strongest voice.

Stand up and make a difference - and by the way.

God always has mercy - always.

Whether she knows it or not - she just brought up her past problems with Bill. That was a dumb move on her part. Good for us - Bad for her!

I suspect most americans want a new face at the top.

Hillary, Guiliani, McCain, Biden, Gore and Newt are soooo 90's.

That is why I think Obama is doing well right now on the left. And why Duncan Hunter has a real shot for the right.

Conservatives are NOT DOOMED! You have to realize once in a while the American people don't want a strict conservative or Left winger in the White House. They want someone in the middle to calm things down. Then usually after that the conservatives start firing up their burners again and usually win and make more inroads than the Democrats. It happens again and again.

You make an interesting point.

I would add that most will end up wanting a known commodity.

Who can carry the nation and lead - and who has shown it to-date.

I suspect most americans want a new face at the top.

And I suspect you didn't read the article.

Obama got less then HALF of Missus Clinton's support, and Duncan Hunter was a non-entity.

I think they should stick with the Breck girl and his two Americas!

Why? Guiliani is closer to Edwards on the issues than they are.

I have not ever gotten a response from the Rudy Haters about how one of there unknown guys will be able to pull a national campaign and a 100 mill in a by Feb 5 08.

Someone like Hunter does not need $100 million dollars to convince pubbies that he is a conservative despite his record.

"Guiliani is closer to Edwards on the issues than they are"

That is an absurd (and idiotic) statement. That simply demonstrates your lack of any real knowledge.

Really very silly thing to say.

You do yourself a disservice.

Apparently you have brainwashed yourself into thinking that way. It's just not true. But then again I'm still preaching to the choir.

Brainwashed? Edwards - pro-choice. So is Rudy. We're not.

Pro-amnesty. Rudy is. Edwards is. We're not.

Pro-gun-control. Rudy is. Edwards is. We are not.

Pro-Iraq war. Rudy is. Edwards isn't. We are. So are several other GOP candidates.

So Rudy on key issues is closer to Edwards than we are. That's the fact, jack.

That is an absurd (and idiotic) statement.

Wrong. The absurd and idiotic statement was that conservatives who criticize Rudy should get behind Edwards. I pointed out in post #75 that Rudy is closer to Edwards than we are regarding abortion, gun control and amnesty. Rudy is pro-Iraq war - and so are we.

So therefore, Rudy is closer to Edwards than we are.

Basic logic that escapes those who wish to mask the fact that Rudy is on the far left of the GOP - and even endorsed Cuomo over Pataki in 1994.

Orderly - Mr. Dirtboy is ready to go back to his room !!!!!!!!

Can you refute what I said? I guess not.

But to you, I'm apparently crazy for responding to the absurd claim that conservative critics of Rudy should be backing Edwards - when the facts show that Rudy shares Edward's basic views on abortion, gun control and amnesty. We don't.

And Rudy's main perceived strength is the WOT - which we support as well.

So tell me, then - if Rudy does not have ONE SINGLE ISSUE where is to our right - and has several to our left, many of which are planks in the Dem platform, such as pro-choice - so tell me, how is Rudy NOT closer to Edwards on these issues than we are?
