The liberal media spins this as support for liberal policies, when it's really dissatisfaction that Bush is not the conservative we voted for.

I would venture to say the Independent vote is more significant that either the Dim or Repub votes.

I wish some John Nash type could figure out a formula to apply to polls to factor OUT the MSM's influence on the results.

The single biggest failure of the Bush administration is the war on public relations.

I agree.

The statement allegedly made by one of his top appointments that he hopes Mexico and US will blend together or something like it (I heard it second hand) won't help him.

Bush just announced a bunch of cuts in his new budget. I definitely approve of that.

Some of those cuts hurt me personally, but they are good for the country.

That's six points higher than Truman's popularity in November, 1951. I guess we shouldn't have helped South Korea, either.

The reason for the low poll numbers has more to do with disaffected conservative voters who are unhappy with Bush's support of amnesty than unappiness with the war in Iraq.

Those of us who opened our ears and our minds, knew this to be the case long ago, when he started running interference for, and protecting, illegals and the open border. The clincher was when he suppressed the Border Patrol information about increase illegal flow after his speech about giving them amnesty -- his official memo to the Border Patrol to keep quiet about the data, was posted here on FR.

Our southern border remains open because of Bush, along with his accomplices in the NAU. Period. Washington as a whole, is guilty of the entire scenario dating well back, but Bush has taken first prize given our post-9/11 war on terror scenario. It is sickening.

What does it matter about his approval rating? Did I miss a big change in the way things work now and he is eligible to run for office again?

What he needs to do now is tell us all this, "Hi America. I come to you now to explain how I am going to be handling the situation in the Middle East from now on. Congress isn't going to like it, the House isn't going to like it and a lot of you citizens aren't going to like it. But, I don't give a damn. It needs to be done. First off, we are going to be killing a lot of terrorists/insurgents/upset natives (What ever it is you like to call them now.) Secondly, we are going to be blowing a lot of shit up. This is how it is going to go until I feel it is time for us to pull out or until I am replaced as COMMANDER!"

Maybe he should trade big government statism for small government conservatism. That might help his numbers.

Nah, that's crazy talk. More spending!

More Americans disapprove than approve of his handling of seven different issues tested in the poll;

More and more Americans have no understanding of what is going on around them today. They are plugged into American Idol or Dancing with the Stars.
