What would Yasser say?
Yasser Arafat and some of his Marxist Mexican allies celebrate Iran's murderous Ayatollah Khomeini - The Beirut meeting was in 1980, during the Iranian terrorist takeover of the U.S. embassy in Teheran; the Mexicans were members of Mecha, a racist and anti-Semitic Hispanic gang which believes that the southwestern United States must become a Mexican state

The Democrat who lost to Arnold Schwarzenegger when Gray Davis was recalled was a member of MEChA.

The Mexican War was a good thing.
As bad as things are out here, just imagine what a shthole California would be today had it remained part of Mexico.

Well, we took nearly half of Mexico's territory in the Mexican War, and to make things worse, we took the half with the paved roads, good hospitals and jobs. It's no wonder they want it back. < / sarcasm >

If they got the territory back, how long before it's in shambles (like Mexico)? WHo are they kidding?
To: NewCenturions
Correct.
Just look at the parts of L.A. being overrun by the illegal invasion -- tragic that this once great city is turning into a 3rd world dump.

Not to mention the fact that Mexico did not control large sections of the southwest at the time of the Mexican War. The Comanches did. The Mexicans were afraid to go into Comanche territory.
Badeagle, please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

"the U.S. took half our national territory."
I have a feeling the Aztecs and other Natives might disagree with that statement. But then, the Mayans can't say anything thanks to the Aztecs.
Do we see a pattern here?

Where they have become managers of our stores, shops and offices, they've begun to look like 3rd world places. These places are in shambles with stock strewn all around, laying the floors, no order to anything. If you are waiting in line to pay for something and a Mexican comes up, they get waited on first. We non-Mexicans are being treated like aliens.

"The average American doesnt know much about the Mexican War and thinks about it less."
Ouch. Guilty. I had no idea, but once again, thanks to FreeRepublic, I'm learning. I've lived in Colorado a long time so I'd better figure out which part Mexico wants back. Mexico and most Mexicans are definately coming for it and with few exceptions, the US no longer has the will to keep it.

There's a movie from 1969 called Viva Max where a washed up Mexican General (Peter Ustinov) retakes the Alamo. Texas sends in the National Guard, but the State Department, not wanting any casualties, sends them in without ammunition.
