Remember to never underestimate Fox News ability to botch a breaking story.

Hear hear; BTTT, etc. I've often thought of collecting their desperate and completely botched efforts to be first into a "Foxed by FOX" thread.

There is a really big middle east, muslim, community in Tokyo.

OTH, homemade rocket attacks are the trademark of the Kakumaruha faction. Sometimes Chukakuha.

Both lefty groups, both fairly radical.

They would attack the base just because it was there and they got bored.

Thank you for the link

The blast occurred shortly after 11:00 pm Monday (1400 GMT) at a public park 500 metres (yards) from the US army’s Camp Zama, in Kanagawa, 40 kilometres (25 miles) southwest of Tokyo, police said. No one was injured in the attack, a Zama police spokesman said.

Police found a projectile launcher, a metal pipe about 55 centimetres (22 inches) long and about 5.5 centimetres in diameter, at the park as well as scorch marks on the ground, he said.

“The metal launcher was aimed at the US base and we suspect it was a guerrilla attack,” the official said, referring to Japanese radicals. Police found a second launcher, identical in design to the first pipe, and batteries in a thicket outside the park. “We have yet to find any explosives and I cannot confirm any projectiles actually entered the camp,” he said.

Arrival of stealth fighters on Japan delayed

Monday, February 12th, 2007 4:52 AM HST

KADENA, Japan (AP) _ The arrival in Japan of a detachment of the United States' newest and most expensive fighter has been delayed.

The twelve F-22 stealth fighters were to arrive on Kadena Air Base on this southern Japan base on Saturday, but had to turn back after leaving Hawaii.

It is the aircraft's first overseas deployment.

Officials at Kadena and at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii were unable to immediately confirm why the arrival was delayed.

Or Chinese: a big explosion at a US base with Japanese casualties will be a big headache for US/Japan relations.

There is a really big middle east, muslim, community in Tokyo.

Really? How did that happen. Japan is so strick with their immigration and relationship laws. I would have thought Japan would be the ONLY place muslims wouldn't get into.
