This is absurd.
Why are they putting fake news on a real news channel? There's some sort of sick irony at work here when a parody of the news is being parodied by a news channel.

Whenever I saw Kieffer Sutherland, all I could think of was The Lost Boys.

Why would they make fun of hybrids? Unlike hydrogen cars, ethanol, or many other bonehead ideas, hybrids are a cheap, simple, effective way to reduce gasoline consumption. Cheap? No. Simple? Hardly. Effective? Only slightly. The silliness of hybrids is the superior attitude donned by most owners.

You know I am probably about the only freeper who hasnt watched 24, but now knowing that the producer is like minded as me, I might just give the show a shot. You should purchase the DVD's, beginning with the first season. No commercials, you can control when you watch it and when you don't. My girlfriend and I are now watching season five, season six being on TV at this time. We refuse to watch it on TV, and purchase the DVD every December as a Christmas gift to ourselves.

What's really crazy is that Sandra Palmer reminds me of a few people I know personally!
I am sooooooo sorry that you have to put up with those type of folks. I think I would jump out a window after a while. lol.

It's better to watch the prior seasons before you continue to watch this years'. There are references going all the way back to 2001 that you won't get if you haven't followed the show.

You know I am probably about the only freeper who hasnt watched 24... You're not alone. Aside from the fact that I could never get into "series" type shows, the one episode I did watch just seemd way too far-fetched.
No criticism meant for those who like that kind of show, but it's just not for me.

"You know I am probably about the only freeper who hasnt watched 24,..." I haven't watched it either. Maybe it's because I am well grounded in my conservative beliefs and do not personally need media affirmation.
I have to admit that I do get a kick out of seeing the Berkley crowd spanked on occasion.

Compared to other forms of alternative technology (hydrogen, ethanol, etc.), it's far and away the best. It doesn't require government subsidy, it doesn't require any infrastructure changes to gas stations or roadways, and it doesn't require any extra upkeep. Compared to a conventional gasoline car, there is no difference from the driver's perspective. They are VERY effective at increasing MPG for city driving, and while I admit it's not a huge difference for highway driving, it's still an improvement. As for the "superior attitude donned by most owners", that's an easy statement to make, but a much harder one to prove. For the sake of argument, let's say it is true. So what? Is that the car's fault?
I agree that self-righteous environmentalists are extremely obnoxious, but this is one case where they actually have a point. That's something I tell environmentalists...they make so many noises and talk so much BS that it's easy to dismiss a good idea because it's associated with environmentalism.
Knee-jerk environmentalism and knee-jerk anti-enviornmentalism are both problems. People need to do their own research and draw their own conclusions. That's the ultimate problem with American politics, for both liberals and conservatives - it's much easier to buy into hysteria or outrage than to actually do some thinking.
