People who murder using a pump action shot gun are evil. Those using an "assault weapon" have been corrupted by two of five evil features. With the proposed legislation, we now learn that even a barrel shroud can cause misbehavior.

Well I'll give 'em one for including that bad bitch.
As a group M-1 owners are just about 100% law abiding.

They also own and know how to use one of the most devastating shoulder weapons on the AWB list.

And joe gang banger they are not.

If, in the 2006 election, conservatives stayed home to teach the GOP a lesson, we'll soon find out (over the next two years) how many lessons can be endured.

It would indeed be devine payback if those Americans most devoted to guns were to lose them because of their petulance in the last election.

It still doesn't take many to stop it.

You know, I understand that I'm a lone voice crying in the wilderness. I also understand very well, that all of this absolutely MUST happen. It's a part of Biblical prophesy. Eventually the NWO will be a fact. The merger between USA, Canada and Mexico will be accomplished. We'll lose our guns and our freedoms. It's a given, because the only thing standing between all of this and the rise of the AntiChrist is a large, free & armed populace here in the United States. I just want to draw it all out so that it no longer affects me. Say another 25 years. I'll be 50 in a few months. I refuse to dwell on this and choose to count the prophesies that are on the cusp of being fulfilled.

Here are two on tap for the near future: Isiah 17. Eziekiel 38 & 39. These could literally be just around the corner. After that it's a countdown to the return of Christ. Probably a short one.

I use my M1 exclusively in drive-by bayonetings.

You need to get out more.

They should go ahead and include a mandatory confiscation provision of all the mentioned weapons. If we can't buy them anymore might as well try to take the ones we have. That'd get real interesting.

"To be fair to W., he made it clear before both elections that he'd sign an "assault weapons" ban."

Where were you when everyone was being told, "don't worry, it will never get to his desk, this is just political posturing?"

The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good.

To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.

Hey, I was around, wondering why W. would take such a lunkheaded position in the first place.

Quemadmoeum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est." (A sword is never a killer, it's a tool in the killer's hands.) - Lucius Annaeus Seneca "the Younger" (ca. 4 BC-65 AD)

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one. - Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare Beccaria, Criminologist 1764

"..its going to cause a stampede of firearms off the shelves in huge numbers where still to be had.."

I bought my first so-called assault weapon, a MAK-90 in November of 1992, right after I first heard the phrase "president-elect Clinton".

The scheme was defended as a way to attract "moderate voters", sort of like leaving a dog in the yard to attract fleas. Got to say this, we damn sure caught us some fleas!
I won't play this game again!
