"Why do they hate us?" I only hear the whiney left ever ask that.
To: Pokey78
Americans really hate not knowing why they're hated. That might explain the anger of the Left...my experience is that most conservatives know why the US is hated.

The opinion polling was deficient; neglected to poll Americans.

We should stop the flow of aid money to anyone that hates us. They'll begin to feel the love fairly quickly.....

Being hated is what happens to dominant empires. It comes - sometimes literally - with the territory. Feared is most likely the word. Better be feared than complacent.

The best way to navigate this guy's gibberish is to follow his leading statements.

It comes - sometimes literally - with the territory. Yes it does. The Big Dog is hated by the small snivelling dogs. I see it all the time. Time for the Big Dog to show why it is the Big Dog. Hide your bones.

The world can hate America all it wants. Come and get it, we have plenty to dish out.

The global media has relentlessly bashed the USA for years now. Why would they be surprised?

"Yes. Just see what happens to our image if/when another liberal becomes president. All of a sudden we'll be "loved" again, even if the liberal president bombs the poop out of Darfur. There won't be a peep of protest. " I don't think so this time. This boil has been festering for a long time, and finally with Bush's election they had cover to scream it from the roof tops. I am not sure how long it will be until we return their "affection," but I'm sure it's on the way. One of my favorite parts of this moron's screed:
"The truly poignant fact is when Americans themselves are asked to rate foreign countries, they express the most favorable views of none other than Britain, Germany and Canada."
He is mocking us. He is saying, "Just look how stupid they are, we hate them and still they love us. What dopes." At one time I had quite a bit of affection for Europe and Europeans, but that has changed to hostile indifference. I will also give my vote to any, any candidate who promises to follow a more isolationist foreign policy, I am sick of them all.
Europe is dying from despair. Committing demographic suicide by failing to reproduce white, European children. The once great culture is a cesspool of angst and depravity--have you seen their films? They believe in nothing, will defend nothing. As a perceptive Frenchman noted more than a generation ago, they now follow neither Marx nor Jesus. The six week vacation and retirement at 55 are the limits of their aspirations. OF COURSE they resent a culture of hope, optimism, confidence.
The Third World case is A BIT different. The elites hate us because our democracy and prosperity present a bad example to their slaves. The slaves-though they may have been programmed to hate us--would all like to move here. One need look no further than Mexico, where hatred of the USA has been elite dogma for 200 years. Yet the impoverished victims of the kleptocrats risk their very lives to come here.

Hatred of America unites the world = Jealousy of America frustrates Old Europe The reason the scumbags of Old Europe hate America is because no matter how much they jump up and down and holler that they hate America, they can't even get a careless shrug in response. They get nothing. Nobody here gives the slightest rat's behind what Old Europe thinks or says (except, of course, for a few socialist Democrats).
To: Pokey78
To quote the Pied Piper of Hamelin, "Who gives a rat's @ss.". To quote Caligula, "Oderint dum metuant".
