So badly that fully half the electorate in any given year is so convinced their voice isn't meaningful that they don't bother to clap for either the tweedle-dee or the tweedle-dum offered to them by the major parties.
Their loss. Most of them are so ill informed they do a service to the Republic by staying home and watching American Idol. I doubt giving them a laundry list of even more obscure candidates would improve the situation at all.

Yes, the coming primaries are being rigged so that the only candidates who can survive are those endorsed by Soros and the elites. Not that it will make any difference, but once this has happened, I will be waving bye-bye to the Republican party and I have a feeling it will be a very brief interval before the Republican party morphs into the Whigs and vanishes from the scene for good.

Hey, if you think the corrupt, insular, unresponsive, bloated, tax leeching ballot lice in DC have done right by you, by all means support the current system of tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumber.
I don't.
And if the super front loading of the primaries damages the 2 party monopoly on political discourse, I say it can't be entirely a bad thing.

"The 2 party "system" in the US has been a nightmarishly disfunctional noose around the neck of the polity for too long, anyway."
The one party system that will replace it is going to be a lot worse unless you're into socialism.

Why do you think it wouldn't be a 5, 10 or 50 party system instead?
Hell, it might even reign in the government a bit, though that's probably overly optimistic.

In essence, they want people to go to the primaries as ignorant about the candidates as possible. The whole thing also limits Hillary's exposure and ensures that she won't face any tough questions or fumbles while on the campaign trail. The whole scenario seems custom fit for Mrs. Clinton. What a coincidence.

Hey, it could happen. When pigs fly Coach.
Some people mix up those pesky terms, "possibility" (as in "remote", "very remote" and "highly remote") and "probability." They both start with "p".

re: american idol, if my memory is correct, around the time that GWB was re-elected, an "idol" was anointed. he or she (i don't remember) received some 65,000,000 votes. GWB had just received some 43,000,000 votes to be re-elected head of state of the greatest country the world has ever known and in a time of war no less.
amazing that we have lasted this long, if you think about it.

Personally I think it's way to easy to vote. Just being above room temperature shouldn't cut it.
