The Left in America is very different from the Left in "Third World" countries. OUr Leftists are self-hating and guilt-ridden. The Leftists in North Korea, Venezuela, Mexico and Iran are not. In fact, the attitudes are so different that one can't help but wonder at times if it is the same ideology at all.

If a chr*stian objects to an obscene billboard, the Lefties defend it and attack him, in order to prove this is not a "chr*stian theocracy." If a moslem were to attack that same billboard the same Lefties would join in demanding that it be taken down, in order to prove that America is a tolerant, multicultural country. In other words, if a chr*stian wants it taken down it must be kept up to prove this is not a chr*stian country. And if a moslem wants it taken down then it must be taken down in order to prove this is not a chr*stian country.

American Liberals, like Rosie O'Donnell (mach shemo!) see their fellow American chr*stians as the dark side of themselves, so their hatred of these people is not bigotry. But moslems are "the other" and so must be celebrated and protected at all costs.

The contemporary Third World Left seems to have much more in common with World War II-era fascist Japan than it does with the old USSR.

Don't forget also that there would have been incidents had the underlying plots not been discovered (i.e., the "Bojinka" style plot uncovered in Britain, the "Keystone" Jihadists in Florida, and other uncovered plots).

This could be your mall or my mall, your church or my church, your airport or my airport, your sports stadium or my sports stadium or my grocery store or your grocery store. Anywhere people gather in smallish to largish groups are all targets. Floor plans for all of these places are easily available.

As far as it being a school I teach at or my child attends? Those plans aren't on the internet as these are 40+ year old buildings. Newer schools routinely have their plans online so they are available for public approval and public discussion. But I knew about this months ago - in fact, you and I had an exchange about it.

I'm not sure why you posted this to me--was it to scare me, anger me, disturb me, inform me? My point stands - we are all targets wherever we are and wherever we go by virtue of being Americans. When one American is threatened, we should all feel threatened, not superior because we think we do something that will keep us fundamentally safe. That is a false security. Dead is dead.

BTW Virginia has conceal-carry laws. Granted, bringing a gun into a school is against the law, but I'll bet many will take their chances with a judge than with a terrorist.
