O'Reilly's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I think Rush is fully aware that Kalifornia has become a hopeless toilet. Conservatives held their noses and crossed their fingers and hoped Arnold would slow the swirling turdwater, but instead all he did was turbo-charge the flush with his own brand of Democrat-style socialism.
"O'Reilly's not the sharpest knife in the drawer."
His jealousy of Rush is funny as hell.
Miss Pelosi's head will not explode -- it's been wrapped too tightly, methinks. :)
"Making all people pay for Insurance instead of having you and I bear all the burden..."
Oh, yes, grand idea. Find another way for the Government to take money away from people.
Let's see... the Government charges you to be allowed to live in your own house. Then takes a percentage of all the money you make. THEN takes a percentage of all the money you spend. THEN takes a percentage of the gas it takes to get you somewhere to spend it, plus a cut just to allow you to own the car to put the gas in. Not to mention enforced "insurance" just in case you hit something with that car. So, sure... yeah. MAKE people buy health insurance, too. Why not?
I'm waiting for the day when we have Government installed meters in our bedrooms, so when we can pay for the air we've breathed throughout the day before we go to sleep.
Shelby Foote stated that the genius of American politics is compromise and that the failure to achieve satisfactory compromise led to the War Between the States.
So for those who only want their way and don't want to give an inch to political opponents in any way...that is a recipe for disaster.
I totally agree, and even if you have to hold your nose there is no excuse for inaction when a little compromise is better than nothing being done at all and the situation gets worse. Those that never bend at all are doomed to break.
I often analogize politics to a marriage between a man and a woman. Compromise is what used to keep people married. Now, it's turned into a lawyer/politician boondoogle with "compromise" being considered a dirty word in light of special interest ideology.
In my considered opinion, the Dems are creating the groundswell for a conservative/Republican win. Why? Dems are on a witchunt, will not compromise in the interest of "unity" and are intent on being a special interest group "winning" for their own behalf; but not that which is best for the "family" of US Citizens.
So far the Dems are ht emost unproductive Congress in history (I think). What have they actually passed? Nothing that I can think of.
They have proven themselves to be disloyal to the country, enemies to the military, hell bent on destroying Bush no matter what, and in total disregard for the welfare of the country.
LOL...perhaps some of these idjits who keep taking about the stay at home voters will have to apologize when they find out that getting these Dems elected might turn out to be the best thing in the long run for Republicans...if the GOP can stop snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Most of these don't strike me as the kind to apologize; except to blame someone or something else for their own delusions and miserableness.
if the GOP can stop snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
The President did tell us this would be a long war, and in conserving that priority.
It's important to keep one's eyes on the most urgent priority. A feint here, a feint there is a test of faith to those observing.
