So much evolutionary thinking is fantasy. I don't suppose they have any diaries or interviews that document what the women actually thought.
Now how would a man know what a woman thought thousands of years ago? We can't even figure out living women.

Another interesting thing is for a while their faces often resemble their fathers, even if female. This is a sort of DNA test and was important. They later lose some of this resemblance, fortunately for many girls
Yes, and this also explains why men have hairy faces.

Did flea borne diseases kill off the hairiest ones?

Ivory tower nitwits don't live in the real world. Real ma's aren't as emotionally oblivious to their newborns than these twits are.

So they'll know when to stop shaving.......

But how come we need to get haircuts (unless you have other
issues) but primates in the wild don't?
What a pile of nonsense. I guess this is what passes for
bold theory nowadays...

I think the Aquatic Ape Theory makes an awful lot of sense in regard to this and other questions about human vs. ape characteristics."
I agree. Babies don't need hair because they have the added fat built up at the end of pregnancy. If I recall correctly only humans and aquatic mammals have this feature.

A prize-winning paper suggests that humans are hairless apes because Stone-Age mothers regarded furry babies as unattractive Umm. Has anyone managed to come up with concrete proof that stone-age humans were hairy in the first place?

Then please explain the fat cells.... If you consume more than you need, because you have more than you need, where is the excess supposed to go?

It was explained to me that humans stay in the infant stage in many respects while some features go to maturity. They stay pretty much weak, bald, toothless, and clawless forever, and this is a tradeoff for the big head brain.
