I like responding to those who propose impeaching President Bush with:
"President Cheney? OH YEAH!!!"

Sub, if my gut instincts are correct, the events of the next three weeks will render this whole argument moot.

Exactly, if guys like Hagel were really their own men, they would also make out of the box statements like this about Dims. They never do because they are small minded guys selfishly playing to the MSM.

Hagel, who is considering a 2008 presidential runAs Hillary's Veep? Surely he doesn't think a Republican would vote for him.
An example of voting because of an "R" beside the name doesn't always further the party.
To: Sub-Driver
Any hopes of this guy becoming the GOP candidate for president were lost long ago, but now he's proving just how big of an aid to America's enemies he can be. This is how he acts while the surge destroys al Qaeda in Iraq and while Iran ramps up its threats. Hagel prefers to turn a blind eye to America's enemies so he can curry favor with the Democrats and undermine the CIC during a time of war with inane talk of impeachment. Are there no patriots in Nebraska ashamed of this frivolous little man whose own sense of self-importance and ambition leads him to treachery?

Hagel, also kept using the word dictate. As in "the President can't
dictate.
The implication to dictator was not subtle at all. Hagel needs to be called on it but theres not repub with the balls to do it.

Fine. I'll be less cryptic.
The Iranians have learned from the past. If they want to gain an advantage over their enemies, just take hostages. The British hostages have been taken. I'm anticipating more of this, possibly to include the kind of atrocities that even Europeans can't ignore.
When the move is finally made on Iran by an alliance of nations, it will have the full backing of Americans, Brits and others. Those who still oppose action against Iran will be marginalized. That includes Hagel and the Democrats.

"We have clearly a situation where the president has lost the confidence of the American people in his war effort," Hagel said. "It is now time, going into the fifth year of that effort, for the Congress to step forward and be part of setting some boundaries and some conditions as to our involvement." Spoken like a true lib Dem, I hope the good people of Nebraska are taking note.
