Are you calling Rudy a liar? When he divorced his cousin he said he had no idea that she was his cousin.

According to Newsweek he did know she was his cousin but didn't get special permission from the Church before they were married.

Jonathan Darman: Yes. His first wife was Regina Peruggi, his second cousin. They were divorced in 1982. Not long after, when Rudy wanted to get married to TV personality Donna Hanover, he had his first marriage annuled on the grounds he hadn't received the proper permission from the Catholic church for blood relatives to marry.

I also see it as similar to the long delay in ultimatly supporting Dole but only at the last posible political moment.

While it may be practical, it is hardly principled beyond mere political survival.

Except that I did nothing deceptive. Your entire quote was available for anyone to see by just following the thread back. The phrase was dropped only because it wasn't relevant to the point I wanted to discuss nor did the omission change the meaning of your statement in any apparent way. THE OMISSION WAS PROPERLY NOTED WITH AN ELLIPSIS.
