I should have said in an sophisticated fashion. That is, while both can launch missiles or send massed troops over their borders, neither can pull off a coordinated naval-air-marine-army campaign like GB did in the Falklands or we did in Iraq (twice!).

While Israel is clearly not in our league, they can still put together a battle group that incorporate these features within their geographic sphere. GB gave up the ghost after the Falklands to pursue their socialist paradise.

I believe that this is an effort to seek the return of the Iranians that the US and the UK have captured inside Iraq, and also the Iranian leader that defected in Turkey in December. Have RAF jets enter Iranian airspace at will until they are released. Board all Iranian vessels in Int'l waters and hold them as couter ransom. Raise the stakes and the mullahs will blink. Shutting down their economy will put people on the streets in Iran. The mullahs are not in complete control. The appearance of it is what this is about.
