Thank you to everyone who helped come up with the content ideas for the proposed nationwide outdoor media campaign. Hundreds of ideas were created which needed to be trimmed down to a dozen or so that captured the essence of the individual concepts.
The concepts were;
1. Rephrase the debate from "withdrawal" to "retreat and surrender".
2. Losing in Iraq will only bring more danger to our doorsteps.
3. Surrender is not an American virtue.
4. Let our soldiers finish their job.
Here is what we came up with.
Withdrawal is Retreat
Retreat is Surrender

A Retreat in Iraq is

Retreating Abroad Won’t
Guarantee Peace at Home

Pause and think type of message. It does not create an instant defensive wall response. Logic has you thinking... hmmmm ...Yes, I agree with that BS.
I'd substitute something else for "hippies" - they may not get the dated reference and they don't think of themselves as "hippies" anymore, and a lot of young ones never were. "Progressives" or "liberals" or "Democrats" would do better, IMO.

"Tradition" is not that important or relevant in matters of life and death... I think better would be something like "Never brought peace, only defeat"

"Complete" may not fit well, it's still about military action and "winning" or "losing" in people's minds, so "Let's help win the Peace" could be better...

I think the slogan in posting #35 is a good one to include in the choices (but maybe clarify who “them” is—even if that is really bad English on my part). Please continue to include me on this ping list, especially when they become available for sale!
