Yes it is really scary to think there is nothing in the law that requires full financial disclosure from the people who prance about braying they are the “Free Press”?
We the People need to know who pays them to write. Who they owe their loyalties to..
We require full disclosure from our Politicians and their immediate families to prevent corruption. Military Personnel who are paid a pittance have no expectation of privacy with regards to their finances if called into question with regards to national security
Why should the Corporate Press get a free pass to accept money “BRIBES" then pretend they are “independent” “unbiased”.
Today there is nothing to prevent NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX or any media outfit from secretly receiving funds to support a particular political agenda.
If the Government of Iran dumps money into an EU enterprise and that enterprise washes the money, hiring a major US Media Company for a multimillion dollar Ad campaign for any crappy product which they might not even have sufficient distribution to offer for sale. There is nothing to require that transaction be disclosed. Does anyone doubt they might be asked to be 'Symathetic" or "Open Minded" towards a subject of interest to some unnamed business associate. Who today would know? Who could track down the connections? No one!!! Because they do not have to publically report that transaction.
Today if Mike Wallace (Example) or any Media Sack conducts an interview, writes a story on any subject or even the leader of a Terrorist Nation, Nothing requires he disclose if he was paid money to write or produce a "Puff Piece" on that dictator or terrorist leader. How are we are supposed to believe they are unbiased when they refuse to disclose such crucial information?
It should be the law they must disclose...
I repeat nothing in such a law prevents them from reporting what they please and writing what they want..
All we the people need to know is who they owe their allegiance to, who pays them money and how much..
The Army used to calculate the enemy could turn a vulnerable GI for 3 times his pay.. Accordingly if you had a job where you possessed significant classified information they examined your finances.. quite often. If you lived in a Million Dollar home and drove a brand new Ferrari you could count on generating someones interst. If being paid 30k a year you have 300k in the bank... you had best be able to prove where that money came from.
Why the hell should Mike Wallace, Barbra Walters, Walter Cronkite or any Media Sack O Crap get a Pass on reporting who fills their most abundant rice bowls?
Why should the billion dollar Corporate Press be excluded from reporting who paid them those Billions of Dollars.

Scary indeed, if as I suspect they are in fact engaged in such a betrayal of the American People. Nothing scary however about making them report the sources of their income.. It is the law for others including politicians. They still say what they please only they must report who pays them money.. When 30,000 people arrived in Washington 10,000 more than the liberal sack of crap anti American protesters splashed across the front pages in the “Main Stream Press” and that Corporate Press speaks nary a word of it.. That is CORRUPTION of the Free Press and a PROSTITUTION of the role of a Free Press in our society.. That is AGENDA driven and we must know who is financing that AGENDA.
Bring to the House a Bill requireing full disclosure of Media finances and who is paying whom in the Media and the finances of any Media Personality. Those people are called Vortex Thrusters under the law they are public personalities and the law already recognizes they do not have the same right and expectation of privacy as normal folks so don't let that Red Herring frighten you. When someone becomes a known public figure and is knocking down millions in pay then they would qualify and at that point would properly be require to report. (hell if I had a few million dollars I would be happy to report and show all my friends the "Cash" lol

A former 1960s radical, Horowitz is well-acquainted with the Leftist mindset. In this book, he strives to explain the modern alliance between left wing progressivists and radical Islamofascists. He argues that this alliance is based on a common desire to destroy Western capitalism. Leftist sympathy with Islamofascist ideas makes no sense from an intellectual point of view, given that countries ruled by radical Islamists are among the most racist, sexist, theocratic states in the world today. However, Leftists have recognized that they can benefit politically from destructive terrorist attacks on the Western world. A West under attack can be made to turn on its leaders in fear and desperation (as they did in Spain after the Madrid train bombings). Only once people reject current government structures can the Left execute its anti-capitalist revolution and build a new reality that mirrors the Leftist view of utopia.
The complete and utter idealogical hypocrisy of the Islamofascist-Leftist alliance is distressing, but as Horowitz reminds us,
