I take that what Roker and others (including a number of Anglos) are saying is that Imus has offended for a very long time. His routine is laden with invective and always has been. The latest seems to be the last straw so to speak.

Now, I don’t know if Imus should be fired. That’s not my decision, but, I don’t have a problem with others in the industry who know him to voice their view.

I can’t go along with you on the point that Roker and others would not care if a white woman were called ho. If you ask me, most of the comedy routines and lyrics and such that use terms like that should be cleaned up, but I don’t look for that to happen because ‘free speach’ will be cited ad infinitum (sp).

Lastly, FWIW, I think Rosie should be canned from ABC because she has offended Christians.

I hope Imus is NOTING who is it that is defending him... yes, the stupid conservatives. Many here have said the same thing - and I agree- they don’t care to listen to him, but he has a right to free speach.

Jesse Jackson and ‘Reverend’ Al (two nappy headed ho’s themselves) should STFU unless they are also going to go after rap ‘singers’ who constantly use the same words.

Have they told Imush how much extortion money it will cost him to avoid their boycot?

I hadn't listened to him in a few years. Last night I watched the video of Imus on the Rev Al show...he didn't sound well at all...

I part company on this. I do remember Imus from his early days in NYC. Didn’t like him then, either. If he had called my daughter a ‘ho’ on national media, I would demand his resignation. Failing that, I would let my attorney have a chat with his.

Words cannot be un-said. The damage is already done. Apologies are not sufficient.

Is there a double standard? Absolutely, but that is insufficient as a defense for atrocious behavior. I don’t care at all for Al Sharpton and his crowd of race baiters. Their response is predictable and one-sided as usual.

Lets see if Imus can do the right thing.

Good point, and I think he is in very bad health. He has one lung that doesn't work very well and he was a serious alcoholic and drug addict for years. According to him, he does have three testicles, however.

I was driving my wife to the doctor for some tests, turned on the car radio, and there was Imus talking to Jeff Greenfield, the lib pundit.

Greenfield told Imus that it is forbidden in this country to say anything negative about black people (unless you are yourself black.)

Imus said he was aware of this, but had momentarily forgotten the fact.

Greenfield thereupon offered absolution on behalf of the liberal establishment and Imus, as penance, said that he would add a black person to his show after his two week suspension is over.

My own advice to Imus is that he had better add a Hispanic as well. He is getting close to the edge on that too, and just having Hispanics work in the yard on his estate in New Mexico doesn't cut it.
