i tune imus in occasionally only because the NY drive only offers Curtis and the commie Kuby, who is 2nd only to Alan colmes in terms of sheer annoyance.

good riddance to Imus. maybe they’ll put Sharpton in his place.

Happily, if you’re black in this country, you can still urinate on underage girls and receive critical acclaim.

Ole Hillary is smiling right now....

And you know she is...she didn't have many friends in the Imus studio.

I can’t believe I am defending the POS Imus. However, this is an outrage. Just another attempt by the racial arsonists to get Whitey. The BET President is now on spewing nonsense.

Personally, i think “what done ‘im in”, was a few
weeks ago, he called the rest of the MSNBC line up a “Freak Show”...He spent the last few weeks after that, kissing some serious leftard butt, but apparently not enough to soothe
the hard feelings of those he needed to back him up
after his “Ho’s” debacle.

I'll miss the show too...

I've been watching him for a really long time now - I hate when he's on vacation -this is gonna be cold turkey for me.

I'm disgusted, I really am

WITCH HUNT, Corporate America folds like a cheap camera! This kind of extortion will continue to happen with no repercussions until fair minded people on both side grow some balls and face the real issues plagueing the Black community. Al and his cohorts will never touch on the real problems because that would be admitting there is a problem. Granted Imus did stick his foot in his mouth but how does the berating an old white man and ruining a 40 year career solve any of these real problems? It just gives these hucksters the spot light and some TV time and makes all concerned feel good about themselves for a very short time until the next public hanging. Until you face the problems they will never go away!

Did anyone see Snoop’s response to MTV? It was on Special Report with Britt Hume (IIRC), and they had to bleep out several words, including the n-word. That was his response to complaints that rappers say the same and worse. He said he was talking about REAL ho’s and n’s, not accomplished basketball stars...

Al Sharpton giving a speech saying they will rally in front of CBS tomorrow morning at 11:00 to make sure that CBS fires him also.

He said this is “JUST A BEGINNING”...he said they are going to make sure other networks and people do NOT get away with this anymore.

Time for the purge. The cultural revolution has begun, led by that great citizen Al Sharpton. Prepare the reeducation camps.

Maybe we should express that disgust. MSNBC will probably figure it out soon enough. They’ll regret this. They should be thankful for the few viewers they had because of Imus.

"Unless you watched regularly you wouldn’t know how Imus skewered such characters as Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton"

I have said all along that Imus is a disgused Righty. The rest is satire.

He only did that left wing stuff to get guests and ratings. To me, and I saw through it. He is brilliant. Take a look at where all his support staf is: They are mostly Righties.

Oh my, the Rutgers players are damaged for life because of this? BS. Nobody would have even known that they folded in the Championship if this didn't happen.

You know, I think the end of Hip Hop is fast approaching

You may be right. This may be a "tipping point". I noticed the "ho" question asked a lot this evening to a few rappers. Most of them had a deer-in-the-headlights look.

I'm not a big Jason Whitlock fan, but this is pretty close to right-on:

Imus isn’t the real bad guy

Instead of wasting time on irrelevant shock jock, black leaders need to be fighting a growing gangster culture.

    By JASON WHITLOCK - Columnist

Thank you, Don Imus. You’ve given us (black people) an excuse to avoid our real problem.

You’ve given Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson another opportunity to pretend that the old fight, which is now the safe and lucrative fight, is still the most important fight in our push for true economic and social equality.

You’ve given Vivian Stringer and Rutgers the chance to hold a nationally televised recruiting celebration expertly disguised as a news conference to respond to your poor attempt at humor.

Thank you, Don Imus. You extended Black History Month to April, and we can once again wallow in victimhood, protest like it’s 1965 and delude ourselves into believing that fixing your hatred is more necessary than eradicating our self-hatred.

    The bigots win again.

While we’re fixated on a bad joke cracked by an irrelevant, bad shock jock, I’m sure at least one of the marvelous young women on the Rutgers basketball team is somewhere snapping her fingers to the beat of 50 Cent’s or Snoop Dogg’s or Young Jeezy’s latest ode glorifying nappy-headed pimps and hos.

I ain’t saying Jesse, Al and Vivian are gold-diggas, but they don’t have the heart to mount a legitimate campaign against the real black-folk killas.

It is us. At this time, we are our own worst enemies. We have allowed our youths to buy into a culture (hip hop) that has been perverted, corrupted and overtaken by prison culture. The music, attitude and behavior expressed in this culture is anti-black, anti-education, demeaning, self-destructive, pro-drug dealing and violent.

Rather than confront this heinous enemy from within, we sit back and wait for someone like Imus to have a slip of the tongue and make the mistake of repeating the things we say about ourselves.
